Secret Service sent packing from Columbia

They were scouting things out prior to Obama getting there, and apparently decided to have some fun, local style! (With prostitutes)

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/worl...icle-1.1061543

Glad to know my tax dollars are going to pay for prostitutes for bodyguards!

I personally do not think this has any bearing on the president or his administration, kind of funny that people are like "THIS IS ANOTHER BLACK MARK ON OBAMAS RECORD!!!" when it was just some guy buying a prostitute lol.

Problem? Prostitution in Columbia is legal. Secret Service agents do have off-duty time.

Apparently it is considered against there code of ethics or some shit.

Maybe she was underage in america? that would not fly well, even if it was legal down there.

People involved in politics involved in some sort sex scandal? Why I never!

What a man or woman does in their off time is just that, their off time.

    But my tax dollars!

As long as its from their paycheck and not from departments budget, I don't care. Their paycheck is their paycheck. Do you want you boss telling you how to spend your money?

Apparently they are setting off bombs to protest Obama being there (Or so its suspected?) Hopefully the secret service has enough people left in colombia to protect everyone at the summit D: Not off lollygaggin around with prostitutes.

As an aside, if you read the op, you would realize that I personally do not really care that they had prostitutes when they were there to search for bombs and whatnot. The article did. Please read before you flame

I imagine Secret Service agents are salary anyway, maybe with a bonus here and there depending on if they have to work outside their normal shifts.

I doubt they have the White House credit card.

And the best part? They were busted because they refused to pay one of the hookers. If you want to claim the Secret Service is using tax payers money for prostitution, you should praise this one fellow for saving your money.

Why are you saying "you" like I am the one that wrote the article? Please, personal insults when you did not even read just make you look silly.

I personally do not care if it was there offtime. However, with the bombs going off in the vacinity of our president, perhaps the security would have been better if they did not risk there staying in the country?

The term "you" is general. Don't take things so personally.

Just to clarify for the OP. I know I wasn't addressing you but the article and how the media paints stuff in a stupid picture.

Maybe it's just because I'm english and we don't have the same level of security around the president we do not have, but does it matter that your "tax dollars" are being spent on this? Because at the end of the day it keeps them happy and if they're happy they'll do a better job.

Also, I'm pretty confident they'd have paid for this themselves out of their salary? That they didn't fill out an expenses form and put "Colombian Prostitute" on it. Because if it's the first (which it probably is) then saying that your "tax dollars" are being spent on it, is like saying that every drug dealer/other person who uses prostitutes who earns a salary, is using your "tax dollars" to do so.

Those agents have to be aware that they are also representing the US abroad, they are part of the foreign affairs detail if you so like.
It is not appropriate to mingle with prostitutes, excessive partying etc.
But soon after Mr Xi secured a third term, Apple released a new version of the feature in China, limiting its scope. Now Chinese users of iPhones and other Apple devices are restricted to a 10-minute window when receiving files from people who are not listed as a contact. After 10 minutes, users can only receive files from contacts.
Apple did not explain why the update was first introduced in China, but over the years, the tech giant has been criticised for appeasing Beijing.

During the cold war, prostitutes were used as agents to pry information from government officials. I am sure those agents would've told them alot of shit that they shouldnt have if they were drunk and the hooker was actually a professional spy or whatever and really knew how to use coercion.

I missed in that article where it said they bought the hookers with government funds... I'm sure that wouldn't have been left out which means it was their own dollars.

Wasn’t even the presidential team. What a boring story.

Am I the only who had some serious case of deja vu while reading this article? First 4 paragraphs, together with title and subtitle say the same thing 3-4 times.

title: accusations against 12 agents, at least one found with hooker
    subtitle: accusations against agents

paragraph 1: accusations against agents, at least one found with hooker
    paragraph 2: accusations against agents
    paragraph 3: accusations against agents
paragraph 4: at least one found with hooker

When I read stuff like this I can only think that there is not much to say on this topic, but someone tries very hard to say very much :/
I have enough of EA ruining great franchises and studios, forcing DRM and Origin on their games, releasing incomplete games only to sell day-1 DLCs or spill dozens of DLCs, and then saying it, and microtransactions, is what players want, stopping players from giving EA games poor reviews, as well as deflecting complaints with cheap PR tricks.

I'm not going to buy any game by EA as long as they continue those practices.

Well, I don't live in the US. Do all daily newspapers keep the same low level there?

Secret service agents had presidents schedule in room with prostitutes..

    http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/20...cid=todmsnbc11

Lol I had the secret service agents backs on this one (I dont care if they use prostitues tbh) but leaving the schedule out for his schedule? Come on now... you would think something would click in there head "Hey, maybe this prostitute is not completely trustworthy...nah shes cool!" seems to be the way they were thinking.

Maybe they should have paid her instead of trying to just telling her to screw off after they did it..none of this would be an issue.

Nah I think it's more like Obama wanted them to have it there while testing em out for him. Ya know schedule where to meet em and what order saving the best for last. Nothing like hookers reviewed by your bodyguards LOL.

But seriously LOL talk about stupid.

Oh and since we're so PC crazy these days i am JOKING. I'm a joker i make jokes about things like this i mean no offense to anyone.

Lol Sorrior, I thought you were serious to <.<

But yeah, what an egregiously bad thing to do lol...if a prostitute they used happened to be paid off by a cartel (Not a big shocker down there) it could have been bad news.

Shame on you secret service. Shame.
