Tell me a story about Karma. good or bad

As the title says.I will start with one i had to day.

i Was taking the buss to the city. (30 min or so).Got myself a good seat, and was on my way.
10 min or so into the busstrip this old lady came on,and even though 20 teenagers or so was sitting infront of me,none of them got up to offer her his/her place.

So i did.Got a bad back and all but i was raised will i think. She was realy apretiative of my guesture, and it made me feel good aswell.

Got to the city, walked of the buss toward the mall entrance and spotted a pack of cigarettes.Thought it was empty so i bent down to pick it up.thought id throw it in thr trash
Welll look at that an unopened pack of siggies .
First of all i know someone lost it.
2nd i forgot to bring my tobacko that day and short on money as i am i couldnt afford to buy a pack.
    kinda got the "karma" feeling.

might note that im an atheist but goto give some thought to the whole "karma thing"

so how about you people, any good stories to share?

p.s nwm my english, not my native language

If my reward for being nice to an old lady was cancer sticks I'd ask for a refund.

Clearly you weren't raised to not trust random chemicals strewn about the world, regardless of the status of their packaging. I'd say that is the opposite of well.

A classmate of mine (a guy) wanted a kid so he would find girls from other schools and take needles and pierce his condoms while still in the packaging before he would sleep with them. None of them ever got pregnant luckily and he went on to college where a guy in a bar ruffied and raped him and later he discovered he had contracted HIV from the guy.

ouch...... i mean... karma you're known as a bitch but still.....

    MY own story!

Computer lab in my school. Nothing unordinary. Each and every student after a certain class gets a personal username and password, so you can log on to the computers and have personal documents etc....
One strict rule is, NO pornography of any kind etc.
One day i were with some friends in the room, and i see one dude forgot to log off the computer. So as a prank i typed in a porn site, pressed enter. Me being so happy for myself i smiled and turned around, swining my arm in the process. My thumb on my right hand hit the back of a chair and this huge motherfucker of a splinter lodged itself under my nail Q_Q

So i have to go to the doctors office to get that bastard out because its too far under to get it out with ease. Now, this dumb bitch of a nurse-y-type-whateverdafuck she is, failed to hit a nerve or something 9 FUCKING TIMES when she stuck that fatass needle in my thumb to paralyze it... It hurt like fuck when she dug it in, and when she wanted to move the place to push the liquid shit in instead of pulling it out and chaning angle of it and pressing again, she kinda forced it to move but turning it....

This happened 3 times, and between this fucking up shit, she tried to force a tweecer in under my nail to pick it out. Might have worked, but this tweecer were made so that it would force my nail to lift about 5-7mm before i'd get in under.....So she just ended up pressing the splinter further in.... all up and into the white stuff... All of this while the paralyzing shit thing didnt work from the last joint and after. My finger is so fat from all that shit she stuffed in it!

Finaly the male dude-nurse-thing came and stuck the needle in 3 times, and after like 5 minutes everything in my thinger was completely dead. Couldn't feel a thing. So he just painlessly clipped off a chip of my nail and easily removed the splinter. yaaay.......

Incredible pain for almost 45 minutes straight just because i entered a pornsite on another students computer user.....
So yea, Karma is a fucking whore with daddy issues.

    Give the guy/girl a break >.>

They like Cigarettes, they did something nice for someone and got something they like in return.

Personally mate I believe in Karma also. I have a weird kind of faith. Like I was raised Christian, I believe in God of faith alone with 0 Basis but my Christianity is VERY lose, like I live a very edgy life for what some might consider "A Christian" ... But even so I 100% believe in Karma, perhaps not it as a "Religion" or the faith in which it's derived from, but just the notion of it.

I believe you do good for others, good will come to you. Do bad, and only bad can come of it. There are exceptions, but throughout my life, this has generally been the case.

Still waiting on Kharma to come back to the WWE. I like Awesome Kong, she and Matt Morgan are the only reason I even acknowledge the existence of Total Nonstop Action.

I usually try to do well and be kind (IRL anyway, in-game anything goes!). I'm pretty healthy, living well, I have nice things, etc. While it's not a specific example, I'd like to think I'm doing better than most and am sure to spread some goodwill around lest I lose my comfy situation.

Only instant bad-karma thing I can think of was a few years ago, a silly thing. I cut off a slow driver angrily. Seconds later a bird left a giant deposit on my newly cleaned car, then I ran over a bump that made me spill my drink. Double-whammy. I must have cut off Jesus! :x

I can't believe you picked up somene else's cigarettes from the ground...

Anyway once I called in sick even though I was just having a bad day. Then next day I hit my head and really had to take some vacation, since I almost died. I don't really know if there is a connection, since I dont believe nor care about karma.

There is no such thing as Karma. Good and bad events take place completely independent of each other.

You sound pretty confident. Well so am I: You're wrong. It's not about "good and bad events" either, because those do happen for a reason that doesn't have to be dependent on karma, and doesn't even need to be caused by a biological entity. Regardless, it is the collection of good and bad actions and deeds you've done to others and yourself, and does not have to always take effect while in this life. This is why you see people who seemingly get away with murder, or lead a very good life but suffer throughout all of it. The balance will tip one way or the other, in one life or the next - ultimately, one cannot escape his actions.

It's cause and effect but regarding the spirit. So, don't crap on other people's wisdom and experiences because you don't understand them.

My thought exactly. But if I had to pick a situation where something bad happened and then later something good...

    What do I leave out?

I think you just defined religion with your post, so I'm not going to argue (not allowed here). To each to their own. I'm real tempted though! Nnnghhhh...

What he said. It's also why I dislike the "no religious discussions" rule. But rules are rules.

I also have no reason to believe in karma.

I think you've misunderstood Karma, Karma is the psychological residue that remains inside you after the actions you take, which then make you suffer or give you joy on a later period. The world doesn't actually directly punish or reward you, use your common sense. That's what the religion turned into, not the original message.

Had a woman tailgate me on Tuesday and force me through a red light swerving to avoid her rear ending me because she wasn't concentrating on the road or driving safely (At 7:30am, no traffic) and she got out and screamed at me. Kept my calm (Since I was wearing my staff badge for work, and it was outside my work...trying to avoid any incident, etc).

Last night I cooked my parents dinner at their house and when I was out the front having a smoke, I saw her kerb her car and rear end a parked car. I laughed. I can't deny it. That was karma for her driving and anger.

There is a spiteful bitch that lives in my street, she mistreats her animals, no matter how many times people call the RSPCA they never find any serious evidence.

Well she was walking one of her dogs while wearing open toe sandals. The dog stopped to piss up a lamp post but X decided she would rather get back home quickly, she pulled the dogs lead really hard but the dog refused to move until it had finished it's business. So X went to kick the dog really hard, the dog moved out of the way at the last minute and X ended up breaking several toes on the metal lamp post. The next day she he had her foot in plaster, she told everyone she had contracted gout.

I still burst out laughing to this day when i think about it.
