    The Performance Thread

So how was your initial 15 mins of GW2 Performance wise??

I got about 25 FPS all settings maxed, but my GPU and CPU load was only 20-25%

So assuming it'll go to 100% when optimized 100 fps should be there :P

I was getting 15-20FPS on maximum, with what seemed like hundreds of people on screen, bumped down to medium and got 45-50FPS.

10-15 in crowded places, up to 40 in instances. Sitting on a i7 & 580.
Going to lowest setting yields only a few FPS.

    Beta is beta.

15, not entirely smooth, but its serverlagg that makes it unplayable.

Feels terribly laggy atm... and not network lag, onscreen.. i3 4gz, 6950 Ati, 12GB ram... beta is beta, but im kinda worried now :s

Wish I had gotten to play, but I am banished to forever deal with the bugs. Keep getting "Unable to complete operation" over and over. Then I wait a few minutes like it says and try again. Got to create my character. That's about it.

Yay lag is killing me but I have about 30 fps on max settings and 1680 resolution.
Funny how you can;t login to server after DC because it's almost full of people

With everything on lowest but textures at medium and depth enabled I'm getting around 20-25 fps. As they said, it's clearly very CPU based right now. Hopefully it'll get better as time passes but I could live with this if I really had to.

To me the whole "CPU based" is nonsense, i got 20% CPU usage and 20% GPU usage, basicly the application doesn't utilize more than 1/5 of my system power to run the game on max settings with 20-30 fps.

My FPS seemed smooth enough, I even had to enable vsync to get rid of the tearing problem. Playing on a maxed out 27" iMac (i7 2600, AMD 6970M), 1440p, almost everything on high (shadows at low), AA off

But Ive only been in the game for few minutes before disconnecting

I imagine they'll roll out patches to try and improve performance as the beta goes on. However, it is a little disheartening at the moment because it seems like they haven't done anything to improve performance since the last beta. My rig with a 2500k @ 4.5ghz and a single 580 dipping below 30 fps is frustrating, but "beta is beta".

I know its beta and due to that, it is barely optimized. I was getting around 10-20 fps at random settings. At max, I was getting less but with tons of people, very little. I really need a new CPU/Motherboard and more RAM!

    My specs are:

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Q6700 @2.67Ghz
    RAM: 4GB
    GPU: Hd Radeon 5850

10-15 fps if I'm lucky, and I'm on a pretty decent PC. Not playable.

You're lucky, I got a duo core 2.0 Ghz here. I presume I odn't have to tell what my short play experience looked like...

No idea what FPS I got, but I had settings on highest possible. It was hard to tell how well it was running with all that lag.

Running it on an i7 3.5, 16GB RAM and Crossfire Sapphire 6950 "OC". So it better bloody run good when the lag is gone

It's weird in the human introduction part I had great fps (even though it was full of people logging in etc. and there is lots going on) however in the normal world I have 15 -20 fps

lol no. The game is laggy because of optimization, not the servers.
