GTX 690 announced on Nvidia Stream

    http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/twitch-tv/

Official NVidia page now for GTX 690: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/art...ote/#sf4056679

    ANANDTECH REVIEW: http://www.anandtech.com/show/5805/n...e-ultra-fast/1

They are most likely going to be announcing a GTX 685 or 690, hang tight! I'll update this post with information that is released!

Edit 1: Audio just came on... and went back off, but there is a video going on, showing their history.
Edit 2: Audio is back. NVidia boss is talking, celebration of PC gaming and gamers.
Edit 3: Just as quick as the audio came back, the whole stream connection has been lost, as one commenter said, "Hope the announcement isn't Nvidia going into live streaming."
    Edit 4: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/twitch-tv/ Works better.
Edit 5: Big boss of PLA, didn't catch his name, basically a group making a truly DX11 title, is talking about a new game. "Passion Leads Army" is the name of the game. Most advanced DX11 game ever created in China.
Edit 6: Boss of PLA has now gone off-stage - sounds like they're about to talk about the next GPU.
Edit 7: Nature uses as little as possible - what they want to do with Kepler is energy-efficient. Brand new architecture, new features inside Kepler, brand new AA ability, adaptive V-Sync - benefits of constant fps with no jittering, GPU boost, and energy efficiency, 3x as efficient as previous 580.
    Edit 8: 1 GTX 680 = 3 GTX 580s, essentially, Samaritan or something, 30fps, 46dbA vs 51dbA.
Edit 9: First surprise... new project, fond of the NVidia's guy's, 5 years in the coming... introducing GeForce Experience. 2 Components: 1. GeForce super computer with vast array of setups and every game they can imagine that's coming out, to find the perfect setting for each setup someone could have. 2. Console, piece of software, UI, sits on PC, this console will connect to cloud, upload latest driver optimized for game, and settings that data center/super computer has discovered for you, when you load game, settings will be perfect for your specific setup, whether full gaming rig or laptop. 4/5 gamers do not deal with setting up their graphics settings themselves because they don't care.
Edit 10: Showing optimized settings for a GTS 450 setup made to be giving you at least 32fps in Skyrim, as opposed to default settings giving 25fps.
Edit 11: Beta for GeForce Experience coming out on June 6, 2012.
Edit 12: Checking out Mech/Hawkin, not sure what he said exactly, FTP game with completely customizable mechs, and game has superb geometrics/graphics.
Edit 13: Name is Hawken/Hawkin, coming out 12/12/12.
Edit 14: CEO of Crytek, Jivat or something to that nature, coming on stage to talk about a new game they are working on bringing out.
Edit 15: Crytek is changing future of PC gaming - they are pushing native DX11, tess of environment and characters, and he said something about light. Sorry he's kind of hard to understand. >_< "Real geometry" the wire frame is insanely intricate.
Edit 16: Showing superb character shading - looks VERY realistic!
Edit 17: Volumetric shading of particles! Particles are not flat. This looks amazing, shadows look brilliant.
Edit 18: Crytek's new tool/engine is downloadable for free. "Cryengine 3"
Edit 19: Warface - brand new franchise launching in China, then in Russia, then in Korea, then elsewhere. It will shape and change the way online shooters will run forever.
Edit 20: Warface looks pretty amazing, going to be FTP.
Edit 21: Crytek has yet another surprise.... first-time ever shown, new Crysis footage.
    Edit 22: Crysis 3 announced.
Edit 23: Next surprise... GEFORCE GTX 690 ANNOUNCED!!!
Edit 24: Special attention paid to every single detail, so they could deliver, highest thermal, acoustics, and electrical performance.
Inside 690: two Kepler GPUs. Over 3,000 Processor cores, connected by SLI bridge. 10 phase Power supply to enable max amount of overclocking, built on top of a 12 layer PCB. 300w of GPUs. Dual water vapor chambers, sit on GPUs, nickle plated fins, no tarnishing, no oxidation, in center, fan has scientifically built fins, 3000RPMs, but whisper quiet. Plated cast aluminum frame. Bolted to chassis, gpu, and coolers, creating duct of airflow, so air can flow naturally and smoothly through GPU. In center - magnesium alloy fan housing, sturdiness contains actual fan without any vibration. Poly-carbonate windows form final duct of airflow for GPU. GPU looks FUCKING AWESOME!!! First graphics card with name printed on graphics card itself. GeForce GTX lights up on side and gets a ding when all is green to go. They are giving away a GTX 690. Being given to most enthusiastic person in audience.
Edit 25: Stream just died for me.
Edit 26: Guy in blue wins first GTX 690 in world! Congratulations to him!!
Edit 27: Thank you for watching, sounds like 690 will have 4GB of VRAM if NVidia rep in stream chat channel is correct. Show's over, by the looks/sounds of it!

    CYANOTICAL BUY TWO!!

wow, geforce experience sounds really nice...
I particulary don`t care, but I`m sure it`ll be great for a lot of people..
NVIDIA just keeps getting a better toolbox than AMD every time >.<

Sure it`ll be nice for those who don`t understand or care much about understanding some settings, and I mean, it can be daunting.
Still, the main thing for me is another cool addition to the various tools NVidia has with it`s drivers, while AMD has close to none.

Also, it was giving 25 fps in skyrim with default settings.
Optimized by Experience gave 32 or so.

I doubt they wil announce a 685 or 690. Atm there is no real reason todo that.
I expect them to either show no new GPU or come with a new card that falls below the 680.

idk what's better, no 690 announcement, or the slideshow they are showing for games.

  10. #10
It`s probably due to the camera, not the game itself. The camera is probably recording at 24 fps or so.

They already announced 660 Ti and 670, but they still are showing images of another GPU.

I think I was more enthusiastic than the dude who got it.. he barely did anything lol.

Lol, tis a shame, such a beautiful card presented over such a cheap stream...

I think even more exciting than the 690 is going to be GeForce Experience, major 1up on AMD.

I really expected them to introduce some slower model (mostly for OEM partners) and just let the top stay as it was seeing they already dominate that part of the market.
But seeing the new card indeed is the 690 i guess they rly want to crush ATI in the high-end market.

The lower ones were already announced... I've been following NVidia's facebook and Asus' and everything pointed to it being the next step up.

Also, I wouldn't say they "dominate" the high end, especially considering their stock of 680s is so much under the 7970s, which are also cheaper. So no.

Any reviews of the 690 out yet?
I know the stream just happened, but those review dudes usually get this kind of stuff earlier, don`t they? =p
