Doing DS without nerf after 4 months of farm 8/8 h 25

So just wondering what your opinion is on this, half of my guild has been bitching about doing DS 25h without nerf after we've had it for 4 months on farm, a bunch of those people are awful players who got carried, cant even survive ultraxion one week.

the truth is im pretty upset cause i dont feel like wiping 3 days to clear the content we can clear in 1 day, specially in this awful horrid instance that is no fun at all,

so anyway our GM made a vote for "nerf or no nerf" (nerf won!) but he decided to turn it off anyway and now we only got to spine in one day and we have to go back there tomorrow for more pointless wipes with trials and stupid people

so my question is, how would you feel about it and does anyone here raid with no nerf just for fun?

Maybe on some fights. But spine and madness heroic are so fucking terrible that its not worth the effort. Especialy madness the 4 platforms repeating over and over just because you have to wait 6-7 mins untill you get to the hard one is annoying as hell when your progressing.

I will always push for my guild to use the nerf, then I won't have to have nightmares about doing it again for a whole week.

I don't see where is the fun? If raids can turn to be more efficient why complicating your existence?
I would always vote for raid the nerfed content and be cocky about owning it not-nerfed at the right time.

But ppl are free to play the way they like. Just have a naked tank to add some flavor.

Tbh. Do it w/o the nerf is still a challange. And, as you said, with the leechers you have in your rooster its totaly not worth to raid more than needed. If ppl like to come here another day then its fine. Else I don't see the point to wipe over and over due to stupid misstakes or too less dps on tendon.

But on the other hand DS is done in under 2 hrs now with the 20% nerf. Its unbelievable rediculous which impact 5% more nerf have.

You can make more and more mistakes with the tendrons due to the direct 15% nerf to the tendrons even without the buff supporting it still regardless and that's huge

Well depending on when you killed each boss the first time, that is what you needed at that certain time, regarding nerfs etc. undergeard, less % and it was all "new".. For me, getting it done when whatever nerfs / buffs was up at the time was my best kill, and I dont see the point of complicating something you have already done the hard way.. DS is a horrible raid and I think everyone just wants to get done in there as quickly as possible.

That would work if they wouldn't be the ones giving 110% because of being "new" and wanting to give a good impression.
There's always the underperformers that have been members for years and feel entitled to slack.

I killed 6/8H pre-nerf and I am definitely hoping to convince my guild to kill Spine and Madness without the nerf at some point before MoP. Everyone else in my guild had 6/8 pre-nerf as well so I don't even care if we use it to clear the first 6 more quickly and then turn it off. It would be challenging and take longer, sure, but I think it'd be fun.

we finished content with 5% nerf, which isnt too bad i guess, i mean the difference isnt thaat big

but yea im happy people agree with DS being an awful instance u just want to get out of the way soon so u can actually do other stuff during the week instead of spending more time on farm like we are doing -_-

some people said no nerf would be nice to see whos actually a good player and who isnt, but honestly this instance has no retard checks AT ALL, its pure faceroll healing + dps

We thought about it, but decided not to. We're going to try for 3x 1-lift on spine, though.

If you've already cleared 8/8, I see no reason to turn the nerf off. May as well keep it on to farm.

I figure the only logical time to turn off the nerf is if you're about to start heroic modes, and you want to progress at the toughest difficulty. Otherwise you're picking and choosing which bosses to do with the nerf and which without.

Personally I'd just keep the nerf on no matter what.

I'd much rather challenge myself with speed runs or speed strategies such as a 1-1-1 spine or solo healing bosses.

I seriously hate Spine and Madness. For the most part I rather enjoyed the instance but the ridiculously stupid design and amount of bugs on those last 2 bosses means I wanna get through them ASAP. We still wipe to them because even this far into the tier bugs are common for us on those 2 bosses, any special starts I take on for them would be to make things go faster not slower.

Hmm yea we contemplated doing this but tbh we would rather just try 1-1-1 spine and anyway after glory for newer people next week we'll just do sales runs so will be kind of pointless to waste buyers time on it.

Okay if you have it on farm then shouldn't you be geared enough to "easily" handle no nerf? At least compared to guilds who did it without that much gear.
