As the beta phase for The Elder Scrolls Online (or "ESO") is upon us, it is important that the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is enforced here on MMO-Champion, and our users are aware of what breaks the NDA and what doesn't. Please refer to the link below and be aware of what you may or may not do if you're been selected to participate in the beta testing for ESO.

Refer specifically to Article 4, section (a):

(a) “Confidential Information” as used in this Agreement shall mean any and all information or material, of every kind and form, in electronic or tangible form, relating to the Beta Trial, Game or any other ZeniMax products and services which are made available to You by ZeniMax under this Agreement, whether or not designated as Confidential Information by ZeniMax. Confidential Information includes, but is not limited to, all information relating to the Beta Trial, Your selection as a Beta Trial participant, the Game (including but not limited to information and ideas relating to the Game, software, software code, designs, graphics, rules, playing strategies, artwork, visual depictions, plot, theme, settings, characters, characterizations, skills, emails, screenshots, marketing emails, marketing and promotional plans, current, future or proposed products or services of ZeniMax, written or printed documents, announcements or prereleases, product samples, artwork, graphics, promotional and/or marketing items), the Beta Trial forums and other private ZeniMax forums, business and/or trade secrets, testing protocols, processes, and standards relating to the Game and/or associated products or services of ZeniMax.

If you note the underlined portion (underline emphasis added by me), you'll see that you aren't able to announce that you've even been selected. As such, we'll have to ask MMO-Champion users to refrain from discussion or remarks that would violate this NDA. If you see any posts that do violate the NDA, please use the report post function in the bottom right corner of the offending post, or send a private message that includes a link to the post to any of the Video Games Discussion moderators (llDemonll, Azuri, edgecrusher, -Sj, Remilia) or to any other moderator so the message can be removed as quickly as possible.



TL;DR: You are not allowed to post about:

• being selected to the beta
• naming others who have been selected to the beta
• links to leaked beta content
• information about the game not released by the developer first
• veiled comments that could be construed as "beta information"

This, I want my elder scrolls to be a singleplayer, please don't turn one of the few decent singleplayer rpgs we have left into another mmo =(

I hope so, a few sites are even saying we might get a few screen shots later today.

At the very least there's a front page feature in June's edition of GameInformer magazine....I want to see their plans, what combat system they will use, what is the PvE content like...so many questions.

actually read some of it now, only cyrodil? :/, would be way cooler if they made it all the different places, all connected, all open world. and obviously, Skyrim and Oblivion would look "almost" exactly the same as they do atm, paths etc where they are now, dunno how morrowind would look if the volcano going off or whatever happened there

BUT none of that is ever gonna happen, it's prob gonna be a tab combat system, terrain won't be the same as IV, will probably be classes (warrior, rogue, mage) ugh, it's not gonna be an Elder scrolls

It could be alright. I'll have to give this some thought. Their are certain elements that would be really great for an mmo. Tamriel is a vast world and exploring it would be cool. Their are other things that I feel may not be able to have the same significance they would normally in a single player game. Like pick pocketing. Can I pick pocket other players or just npcs?

They better think very carefully about the crafting system (so you cant do anything gamebreaking like in the last couple of titles). Other than that i really look forward to seeing what they do with it. Could be amazing, but could also be very bad. And i hope they wont take the graphics to a completely new level, would be sad if a majority of players cant get to play because of a bad computer.
