reformatting help

Hi so im buying the parts for my new Comp and i will be giveing my old comp to my sister and im wandering wat would be the best way of reformatting it.

im buying a new Windows cds could i just use them to reformat it before i install it on my new comp.

Just do a fresh/clean install of windows, it'll clean the slate. Granted I've never reinstalled the same version of windows before so in that case it might be different

Easiest would be to boot up with the Windows disc and use it to remove or format the existing partition(s).
