    System Restore on a SSD

I have just been reading that you are advised to turn off system restore on SSDs.

My question is now, how come when you got TRIM? I thought also with the most recent SSDs (Crucial M4, Intel 520) there is no problems anymore with write cycles.

Could any clarify how important it is to keep Windows and other application from writing to an SSD with the Crucial M4 (as I am getting that SSD)?

There are several articles that say turn it off and just as many that say there is no need to turn it off. With new SSD's, such as the ones you listed, you do not need to turn restore off as you will replace the SSD before you exceed it's write limit. I have system restore enabled on my SSD just in case.
