having no subs will only mean that the patchs and DLCs will come much slower
There will be no content patches (other then the one that is going to add the arena, which had to be delayed as to not push back the release date) content will get added in the next expansion only.

Diablo is... different then any other game really. The story is great, but you see the entire story in normal mode. I can't really describe what compels you to keep playing into nightmare / hell / inferno... its just so god damn fun. Its really just grinding, that doesn't feel like grinding. It's all about building your character and hunting down that loot. Finding rare stuff is such a rush.

Co-op is fun, but not required, you can have just as much of a good time by yourself. Personally i like to sit in my own game by myself but then chat to friends / guildies from other games in Vent.

PvP is purely for fun, and mainly just to mess around with your friends.

Don't buy it if you don't see the point in reruns because this is pretty much the whole game.

Torchlight? I downloaded it and it stayed around 30 minutes on my HD...

Now I was not even enthousiastic about Diablo 2 either (I know I know)...

But 15 minutes of Diablo 3 beta convinced me this game is 2012 dynamite.

DYNAMITE and I mean it: Diablo 3 will be the most played game on this planet besides Call of Duty (and only because it is only avialable on PC's...)

BTW: I never even finished the campaign of SC2 (as I don't like it personally ). B3 and SC2 are as far apart as can be...

Frankly I don't care if you would play D3 or not. To me it is a no brainer. Instant hit and D3 will keep growing due to word of mouth (just like WOW did at launch).

Diablo 3 will bring back fast paced hack/slash into mainstream gaming. Just like Blizzard did with WOW and the MMO scene 8 years ago.

It is up to you to if you want to take part in this bandwagon or not.

There's no other reason really to keep playing. Content is partly generated randomly, loot is random and monsters are random. It's basically like playing in a casino. Do you feel lucky?
    Without decent pvp
    Without new bosses to best
It seems to me, after you do the campaign that it would be the same as farming winterspring furlbogs for Krol blade to sell or use to farm more
You sure diablo it isn`t hyped ?

I promise you the combat at higher difficulties in diablo is like nothing else you have ever played.

Everything is randomized, you won't being doing the same thing twice very often. even if you repeatedly farm the same zone.

When hunting for rare loot you are looking for what are called Champion or Rare Monsters. These are basically mini-bosses or groups of mobs with random powers / abilities and they are HARD AS FUCK in the final difficulties.

    Watch this:

In fact I'll take the challenge and say you will be hooked the moment you reach the second challenge mode for the next 12 months ...

there is no debate. if you even though a second that you may should buy it, you should. there is only one reason not to: you saw it, you may have tried the beta, and you said/thought this:

if that is the case, and after all, it is your right of free will to have such an opinion, then you shouldn't buy it.
everything else, just do it. better now than later.

    Diablo is video game royalty.

D3 is the most pre-ordered game of all time. Come launch it will easily shatter all world records for video game sales.

If you have a gaming bone in your body you owe it to yourself to buy this game. Even if you only play normal difficulty for the story and never do anything else it will be worth it.

You keep claiming without decent pvp? `What do you base this on? Diablo 3 has all the ingredients to deliver excellent pvp, much higher entry skill required than WoW for one. The devs will have months to smooth it out and make it work before they release it. You are judging pvp while you don't even know what Diablo is.

This game doesn't need new bosses to stay interesting. This game isn't about wiping and learning and then farming. It is nothing like farming Furbolgs for a Krol Blade. Your biggest error is that you think about Diablo 3 in WoW terms. Diablo is nothing like WoW at all.

I played Diablo 2 still half a year ago. What hype?

While I am as enthousiastic as any other fan, I want to point out that D3 is the most pre-ordered PC game of all time. As for sales it will be indeed very good for a PC game. Obviously, you can't compete with multi platform games (XBOX, PS, PC, ...) which combine all sales on all platforms...

Welcome to the bandwagon, I hope Blizzard calculated the needed server space in upcoming months.

In fact Amazon EU - after 3 days - is still out of supply ...

Mmm, images of 2004 start to appear before my eyes...

I just hope the launching week will be playable at all ....

I think the CE is very well priced for what you get compared to other CEs.

I do have £70 to spend but no time to buy CE before release, since if I buy it then probs won't be able to play at launch, so standard edition it is.
