Download issues with new pc.

So I've recently gotten a new computer. Bare in mind, I'm a dimwit when it comes to understanding computer programming, so change made to a system is kind of tricky.

After I got my new system set up, moved my wow folder from my old one to the new one, which works fine along with my other games, when it came to me trying to download mists beta again from my battle net account, after it began to download, it got to about 40%, and then the bar just stopped there, and didn't carry on.

I thought this was just a problem with the beta, and resolved to get the information from my old pc when I could get around to it and see if I could just load the beta on the new one via its files.

However, today after spending ages downloading the instillation info for diablo 3, when it came to actully installing it, I got exactly the same problem, the bar loading and then halting in exactly the same place as the mists loader did.



I tried altering things like allowing access to the instillation setup from the firewall page. I'm using the norton 360 that came with my pc, since I'm not tech savvy and wouldn't know what to do with multiple protection programs.

So, since this same problem occured twice with two different download attempts, any advice?
If this is a reoccurring problem with downloading any game with this pc I'd like to resolve it.

Strange... Can you download normal stuff from the internet without problems (like pdf's or whatever)? If it's only blizzard's games I can imagine it's some kind of firewall problem. Have you tried disabling all firewalls and your Norton and then retry the download? Don't visit any fishy site meanwhile (like porn, bittorrent, .ru domains etc).
