My display keeps crashing

Yesterday when I loaded up Diablo 3 the launcher told me I should update my drivers. I decided to do it later and hopped into playing. A couple hours into the playing my display went black. After restarting my computer I had a notification saying that my display driver crashed. So I went and downloaded the latest drivers. After that my computer would just keep restarting/ crashing a minute or two after loading up. Now after showing the windows loading screen it will just go black. Any ideas and what is wrong? I am typing this from safe mode which seems to work ok.

AMD Phenom 2 X4 2.66GHz
GTX 460
8 gigabytes of RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate

is the card overclocked or maybe overheating? also check and make sure it is clean and the fans are working. maybe try to underclock it if possible. im not an expert at this stuff but thats where i would start. also maybe try rolling back the driver to one that you know works

Roll back to see if the issue disappears, I've had one bsod on my laptop since upgrading but I'm not sure if its related.
