Where would i be place

I'm in China but would only be interested in playing on US servers. Battle.net is currently down for the Chinese (random firewall blocks ftw), so I'm curious if I'd be forced into my local locale (Hong kong) or can I pick to play USW?

Also no offline play is BS.

You can choose your server region in game, and change it at any time. It's in the options somewhere.
