The portion of the playerbase that actually NEEDS offline is small. A lot of the people bitching and moaning about it are doing it just to bitch and moan. The thing is, almost everything happens server side. In order for it to happen client side would require re-coding a large large portion of the game, just for a small portion of the playerbase. No.

Excepts a poll here on mmo champion indicated that 50 % of the player base needed / wanted the offline mode and less than 40 % didn't want it.

The absolute only thing an offline mode would accomplish is letting people with no internet connection play the game. This is a idea is fine with me but it would require a massive restructuring of the games systems to do it.

I would rather they work on an expansion, the pvp patch and server stability for the majority - rather than offline mode for a minority.

How about people with bad or unstable internet connection? And it also fixes the fact that the daiblo 3 server stability absolutely sucks. It also fixes the damned downtimes and lets people use their paid for products when they wish.
