The internet only existed on University campuses.
And the bus driver didn't handle tickets, the conductor came around and stamped out tickets with a special machine.
When games came on floppy disks.
When MiniDiscs were popular.
When a tenner would get you 4 pints, 5 on a Monday.
When you were excited about shaving because it made you feel older.
When all you wanted your father to do was acknowledge you as a man, only to realize you're much happier just being a good son.

Remember when:
Youtube was still in Beta and we kids thought it was super cool.
The only place Apple products were popular were School Computer labs.
We used Floppy Disks for all our homework and computer games.
Our go to for information were physical Encyclopedias.
TYs were the greatest thing and going to be great collector items.
Having Mew's card would make you cool or cause fights in school.
When Magic The Gathering: Unlimited seemed like the new noob cheap set.
When you got the new Pentium 90 with 16mb video card .......... and it hauled ass.

Bus/Train tokens.
Tucking in shirts when dressed casually (well, some people, at least).
Animaniacs, Rescue Rangers.
Going outside in summer and not finding the heat so oppressive it sapped all energy and motivation to do something physical (this isn't a statement about Global Warming so much as how easily kids can blow off uncomfortable temperatures when bored... little monsters).

When Cartoons were on Saturday mornings.
When video game consoles came with 2 controllers
When 4 MB of ram was amazing
When video games were for nerds
When anything with RPG (not the military term) was for even bigger nerds
Remember when you would see your family because you would watch tv ( downstairs ) instead of playing games?
Remember when... the air was clean...and sex dirty...
when nobody had a mobile phone and your parents trusted you to come home on time and didn't feel the need to track your every move
when paedophiles weren't everywhere and you could go into the woods without fear of being abducted
when security cameras weren't everywhere
when £1 was a lot of money
when penny sweets actually cost a penny (you could actually get 2 per penny cos they were halfpenny each)
when bikes didn't have suspension or gears
when playgrounds were built on concrete or woodchips
when slides were 20 feet high and you could actually get friction burn coming down them (let alone practically dying if you fell off the ladder)
when you could smoke indoors, anywhere.

First hard drive, a 2.5" 250mb drive was the best you could get

...you had to swap out disks in video games to continue playing, and had a special "save" disk?
Remember when you had to drop to DOS to play games.....
when cell phones were huge monstrosities that fit in suit cases...not your pocket
when drive in theaters were on every other block and you crammed friends in the trunk to get the max out of your 3 bucks
