[Inferno] Farming Warden or Skeleton King - Which is better?

So, I'm wondering - in your experience - who of the two are best to farm, when accounting for speed, amount of items dropped, time it takes to get the 5 stacks, etc.?

Also lol... This is the shortest OP I've ever written.. Possibly even the shortest I've seen.

I like the so called "butcher runs".
Act 1/9 and kill everything up to butcher.
Best run i had i got like 13 yellows and bunch of blues.
    Soloed it with a monk.
Goes much faster with 1 friend with good dps ( wiz or DH best ....)

Just to be clear, by "Act 1/9", you mean start at Act 1, quest 9, right?

If yes, do you start at the beginning of the quest or at the Cursed Hold?

Start the quest the imprisoned angel you will have 5 stacks before warden, keep on going and kill butcher is the best - if you dont have the gear for the other acts yet

I'm not sure tbh, both are equally good I'd say.

    I'd like to do that..
Problem is, I have too low DPS to kill the Butcher without changing a few of my abilities. But if I do that, I can't take down the specials! :S
So for the moment it's either or.

What does that have to do with this thread? You've got over 330 posts and have been a member of this forum for longer that I.. Surely, by now, you must know how these forums work? Go somewhere else. -.-'

Well, I play a Barbarian.. I've already soloed the Butcher, but that was with a full burst build. Earthquake, Wrath of the Berserker (runed to 100% damage increase), Battle Rage (runed to 30% damage increase). I have ~10k damage without WotB and with Battle Rage.
But that build just makes me too squishy for special packs.. So when farming, I use this build: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...VkP!bXU!cYZcbY

I'll try a couple of special pack runs and see how it goes, then.
Any tips on where to start? Like, from the beginning of Act 1 or?

I use Frenzy + Sidearm over Maniac and Warcry + Impunity over Invigorate. Invigorate is only useful early.
Also, personally I'd take Battle Rage + Intimidate or Furious Charge + Dreadnought over Threatening Shout any day. I use Furious Charge primary for solo since the mobility and the extra HP% based heal on each target you hit is nice.

I don't think it's necessarily "better" it's just that champion packs are more abundant obviously.

Bosses will almost always drop 2-3 rares and like 7-8 blues with 5 stacks. If you swap in MF gear for the final hit you can get even more rares typically. I find doing quick 5 stack runs and killing the boss yields the most loot, especially if you can knock of multiple bosses in the run. ie, Warden/Butcher or if you can manage Act3 inferno, Maiden/Azmodan

Of course it's all random as to whether anything you get is any good, but I found getting to 5 then killing the bosses was the quickest way to amass the most loot.

Unless you're referring to just boss rushing, then of course it's bad if you aren't even building up your stacks.

I dont know about you but when i hit the 250mark on my resistances ( its easyer for monk couse you can stack one and get them all with 1 passive) i could just tank them with a help of few defensive coldowns.
Now im at 300res and i can stand in bad stuf and still tank them. so act 1 is faceroll now.
I took a peek at act 2 and white mobs killed me like in 8hits. WHITE MOBS!!!!!!

Run to butcher with your build for killing specails.

outside butchers room, change your skills for butcher.

i thought everyone did this. :/
Till water is gone, Till shade is gone. Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath. To spit in Sightblinders eye on the last day.

Then I'd lose my stacks and then it would be pointless for me to kill the Butcher, as I've already done it.

I believe its once you clear hell on a character that character is able to recieve a buff. This buff increases magic finding, is acquired when killing elites and champions (yellows and blues), and when stacked to 5 (maximum is 5) makes boss kills act as virgin kills, yielding rares.

  19. #19
^ just a small correction; you need to be level 60, whether you cleared hell or not, does not matter. each stack of NV add 15% magic- and goldfind.

You get them once you are 60. You dont need Inferno unlocked even afaik.
