Do Barbarians have too much survivability in Inferno mode compared to monks?

On top of having way more armor/HP/regen than Monks, apparently Barbarians can also kite as well as a Wizard, or Demon Hunter:

Do you think that it is fair to monks, or other classes that the best tank in the entire game can kite just as well as the squishier ranged classes?

I personally think this makes it impossible for a Barbarian to die. Tank as long as you can, if you run into trouble, just began kiting before you die and you should be fine.

If you think it's impossible for a barbarian to die ... have you played one? Because I assure you it's not only possible, it happens a lot.

Gee that sure looks boring as shit. People didn't roll barb to be half-assed kiters.

If you noticed the dmg that he is doing it would take him at least 20 mins to kill that 1 pack of blues unlike a ranged class who can kill it in 1 min. Melee in general are just bad at this point unless you have alot of gear with vit and resist all. Until that you will get owned in melee so GL trying

Did you not watch the video? After all of that the mobs were at >50% life and he died.

tbh the person in this video was only able to do this because his entire build was made towards the purpose of kiting and like you clearly saw it was pretty much impossible to even kill anything like that and considering this is only act 1 inferno that doesn't make it viable at all later on.
and from my experience ( lv 60 barb here ) monks usually do a better job at soloing inferno then barbs do ( at least my friend does it better with his monk then me and my barb , might just be me though )

Why would you roll a barbarian to kite, and sure kite, but slowly and horribly. Barbarians have to stack so much vitality in inferno to even survive 3 seconds in melee. Then yes, you kite. If people rolling a Barbarian wanted to kite all the time, and not take things head on; then you would roll a wizard, etc.

Last time I checked monks were breezing past the barbs even after nerfs in Inferno. Most of the Barbs I know get stuck in Act 1 unless they run past all the champ packs so they end up having to farm Hell whimsy.

Act one, early undead sure. But leapers, spiders, and then Act 2 mobs? No. Leaper elites are terrifying.

Indeed, act 2 for a Barb is devestating... getting abit tired of farming them ponies aswell.

I hope they don't nerf Inferno yet buff Melee in general, buff the survivability so we don't have to take 5 Defensive Abilitys and 1 Offensive just to even begin to be a melee like we're supposed too...

    Yeah.

Act 1 inferno is nothing compared to later acts.

This is ridiculous, did you see how long he kitted them?

Blizzard needs to nerf Barbarians survivability, that is so dumb. He shouldn't be able to make it to town without dying, but you know blizzard, they're just a bunch of carebear lovers who like to make everything super easy. Might as well just call Inferno, Baby's day out.

Why do people cry for nerfs to other classes so much?
Yes you are still the worst moderator on these forums.

i wondered the same thing right after i beat Azmodan. had some nice gear off the AH and was pretty much just leaving waves of exploded stuff behind, then went to Az and it took all of about 1 minute. this is on normal, btw. i didnt expect it to be hard at all (seeing as i have beat him 2 times previously, with my monk and wizard) but for me to be able to just sit there and hold down the left mouse button until he summoned his buddies or the black pools-o-death, i was flabbergasted to say the least. and diablo wasnt much different. i think i had ~4K HP at diablo. and i was only at low health if i "stood in the fire" long enough. not having much troubles on Nightmare yet, but i only just beat the SK. wish i was at inferno with any of my characters, but i got 3 in nightmare atm.
