Can I get banned for taking my room-mate's gold while he was in the shower?

I play in the same room as my best friend, and he left the game running while he got in the shower earlier. I got the idea to go on his character and trade all of his gold to my character. After he got out of the shower he went straight to work, and just now came home. He did not notice immediately, but after about 15 minutes of playing he opened his inventory and freaked out. I did not know this at the time, but apparently you can open a "ticket" if you experience a bug. He put in a ticket saying all of his gold disappeared. Do you know if I can get in trouble for this?

Do you think that the Customer Service representative will ban me for hacking?? Please help!

I hope so, you deserve it. How about you stop being an idiot and get him to cancel his ticket and give him his money.

Tickets take like 24hours to be answered, so I suggest giving his money back and telling him it was a joke, so he cancels it, or expect a ban because of them saying you stole his account.

Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?

Can't get banned as his wow was still open.
however, you will probably get a warning if they believe his story.

I don't actually have the gold at the moment because I bought some upgrades. :-\ Also it wasn't immature: we always mess with each other. One time I ordered a pizza, and he and his friends ate all of it before I even got a slice. lol.

I hope you get banned, god I hope so.

You live with a roommate, and you act like you're 12, awesome job there.
Tell him you stole his gold, and will pay him back.

Not like your going to go get banned in real life from stealing someones pizza, but oh no, virtual money, let's freak out. It's only a game, but if you are so desperate you would steal your friends money, without any intention of ever letting him find out, you're successful in life.

This is what will happen - CS will tell him he traded all his gold to another character, and probably give him your characters name as well. As long as he knows the character you sent it to, he'll figure it out. While he might try and tell them it was unauthorised access, they'll just say "well, he didnt hack you so its your own fault" more than likely. If he gets lucky, they may give him the gold back. Probably not though.

Then assuming he realises its you, hilarity ensues as he plots devious ways to get his own back on you. Can he get in your room?

Your douchebaggery aside, there's no way you'd get banned for this. Blizzard has/can get nothing that would prove it was you behind his computer dipping into his pickets, but that being said Blizzard WILL tell your friend after the investigation that there was no hacking/keylogging and that the breach happened physically from his computer if it ever even happened.

If you and your friend really prank each other I don't understand why you haven't told him about this yet.

Since it was from the same IP no. I've had this happen to me before my cousin thought it would be sneaky. Well he took only like 10k but when i opened a ticket the gm told me he couldn't do anything because it was from the same IP. so i knew it was him.

Stole his gold and spent it on you'r self and you are wondering if you can get banned? think of it like this. your friend steals your wallet with out your knowing and spends all the money on something for them, are you going to be mad when he says "hey dont worry i was the one that took your wallet you can have it back, btw i spent that $300 that was in it" not funny now is it?

Oh, you, if you don't get banned you'll probably get your ass kicked.

While I doubt you would be banned for that, your friend could for failing to secure their account.
Depends how much your friend is worth to you as to what your actions are next.
I would write in a ticket of your own explaining to blizzard what happened and admit full liability.
Just hope that they are appreciative enough of the honesty to not ban your friend.
