i read a article in max pc saying the upgrade isn't worth it.

i5-2500k is still king i think.
    Milk was a bad choice.

If you're coming from an i5-750 or i7-xxx equivalent I wouldn't bother upgrading either. Wait for Haswell next year.

If you're staying at stock speeds, or for light overclocks, Ivy Bridge provides 7%ish increases, but has thermal issues past 4.5Ghz or so.

If you're planning on significant overclocks, Sandy Bridge will go much further, negating the Ivy Bridge increases, then surpassing them. Sandy Bridge will also run much, much cooler.

It all depends what you want to do with the chip.

EDIT: This is also literally your 10th thread in the past 5 days on your new computer. Please keep it all in one thread instead of flooding the forums.

I answered that in my previous post in the first line.

You've already posted a few threads about processors. Why not continue in one of those?
The difference is negligble. Take whichever.
