Netherlands - Denmark --> Bribed referee

There were 4 hands in one game by denmark and none of them got whistled, NONE. our Coach screwed up with not putting in huntelaar early and keeping van persie in it but dang. That referee was corrupt for sure.

As an impartial viewer i have to say: I didnt see anything out of the ordinary - we were lucky when you hit the goal post but thats it - We were better in this game.

I don't think you understand the rules of the game.

If the ball hits your hand, or if you hit it without it being your intention, then it is not considered a foul or fault or whatever the word in english for it is.

Van Persie and Robben played timid and scared the whole match. Neither one of them wanted to shoot, Robben was 6 yards from the box in the first half and passed...he should pass when he has the ball on the wing instead of dribbiling to the middle and shooting 50 yards over the net. All around poor performance from Netherlands besides Sneijder.

So... the incidental contact rule that goes along with handball is meaningless.

I'm Dutch so I'm miffed too, but you are insane if you think that referee was bribed. The Danish would have to have bribed him, and they are even lower on the corruption scale then we, the Dutch, are.

Denmark was lucky, but the referee was no where bribed.

Denmark played really well as a unit and they did a brilliant job on defence. Daniel Agger is a beast.

We indeed played terrible but i blame van marwijk to put van persie in it and afelay. Those two are terrible. Get huntelaar and kuyt.



@xskarma, You do know that matchfixing is done in the cup right? Interpol is actually on that case. Not sure if you know but either that referee is just blind or he got bribed. I think the second because he missed 4 hands. Let's hope he loses his job. Jerk...

seriously, danmark has surprised us before, the netherlands is overrated. The players were all flying high before even getting qualified...this is what you get when you have high expectations and don't do crap.

Angry Dutch man is angry.

Nothing wrong with anything that happened, they weren't on the hand / intentional and couldn't be avoided. You can't give a penalty if the ball hits your arm that's tucked into your body when you can't see the ball. The object of the game would be to just smash the ball into someone's arm and get a penalty every time!

if the hand searches the ball in a position out of the ordinary its a foul, if the ball hits the hand while in a regular position its no foul.

the ref was excellent, I wanted the dutch to win but you can't blame the ref on this one especially when for example robben was screaming for a handball when the ball actually hit the guys balls and wasn't even close to a hand.
