Yeah... that was back then. It was very challenging in 372 gear. I first done it in around 376ish myself. It involved quickly leaving his room after pull.... before the hard boundaries kicked in...then kill 3 of the advisors at the entrance of the instance etc etc...

Now with H DS gear, theres no need to leave the room anymore, effectively cutting the encounter length by almost half.

The other KT has also been possible to solo since the high 380s ilvl (mostly heroic FL gear, no 4pc t13). Now with 4pc t13, its even easier. There are still a few tricks involved though...such as the timing of mana CD usage (usually you dont want to use a mana regen CD just before he uses mana detonation).

The reason Alysrazor is generating a lot of hype at the moment is because it is "current" content (at least content from current xpac) with a mount attached, and that not every class can solo it.

Although Alysrazor normal mode may require higher gear...but with that said, once you really reached that gear I wouldn't consider it to be any more challenging than say... Malygos or Onyxia. Heroic Alysrazor, on the other hand, is a lot more challenging, but only in the DPS sense. There is an extra Fire Storm, but that can be easily dealt with using Dispersion. You will definitely need high gear (at least 403+) to push out the DPS, as well as some good RNG with the ring spawn locations, as the rings that spawn on the outer circle are typically harder to consecutively double dip on the stacks. To be honest, I would consider the challenge of heroic Alysrazor to be comparable to say...soloing Malygos in under 5 minutes.

I managed the first three bosses of ulduar 10 man (Flame Leviathan, Razorscale, XT-002), but wasn't able to get any further due to trash, annoyingly enough.
