I personally Hate Republicans more than Democrats. But I am neither.

America isn't even really FPTP. The addition of the Electoral College just skews things over further.See Video
Obama who wanted a single payer system, then when he couldn't get it wanted a public option, then when he couldn't public option he opted for the unconstitutional individual mandate. Look at what he wanted to pass not just what he managed to pass.
If you think that then you're to far gone for me to help so I'll just leave you with the words of Calvin Coolidge hoping you will be inspired, one of our greater Presidents. "Collecting more taxes than is absolutely necessary is legalized robbery."
Quote random person that the majority of the world don't care about. If you think that then you're to far gone for me to help so I'll just leave you with the words of Calvin Coolidge hoping you will be inspired, one of our greater Presidents. Act as if it explains everything and is a message of an omnipotent being.
So, to use my completely overused but still relevant quote.
"OPINION IS THE INBRED COUSIN OF FACT"
There is no right or wrong type of political system, stop acting as if Capitalism is the epitome of society, when it's simply another method of running a country, with it's own cons and pros.
I dont like your Democrats but I sympathize with them because of the alternative
Yeah, I know about CGP's stuff. I've been watching his videos for a while, ever since I took up Modern Studies (Essentially Politics & Economics).Ahh then see this video, honestly I do enjoy CGP Grey.
Oh my god DEATHETERNAL you are right. How could I have been had so bad! This must be the first case that a presidential candidate promises one thing yet when he gets into office he does something completely different! This is some really groundbreaking stuff DEATHETERNAL. So socialists compromise with other people in government and lobbyists?
Let me guess he is waiting for his 2nd term to do the REALLY SCARY SOCIALIST STUFF. I mean I have been waiting for him to come to my house and take my guns but it hasn't happened yet, that must mean he is definitely going to do it in the next four years.
Secular Libertarian here
I'm a fiscally conservative social liberal who believes the top priority of a nation is the health and proficiency of her workforce. That means education/training and medical care. I don't think government generally belongs in the home, bedroom or otherwise. I don't care what you look like, what you believe, what you say, what you smoke, or who you're attracted to. We're all the same stuff. I don't believe in punishing crime but either rehabilitation or execution of those incapable of being rehabilitated.
I don't have good representation in either major american political party But not that many truly do.
For the most part, our two parties push along the same agenda. They only play to different passions to keep the ball rolling at all times. As a registered voter I have to balance voicing my true opinions with trying to win what small victories may be in reach. I'm not going to be duped into blind zeal. I believe both Obama and Romney are bad for this country. I think Obama poses more long term damage, but socializing medical care is not a threat to me. Its a salvation. Not an ideal one, but the only one on the table. Romney offers more short term damage than does Obama, with my only incentive to back him being the greater chance that the american people collectively grow both a spine and a brain to rest atop it. I don't have enough faith in that happening to cast a vote that only ramps up the flames on our trial by fire. I would have been willing to vote for Paul because I believe the long term effect it would have had on this country would be worth what would probably happen to me before those benefits took hold.
^ opinions.
I'm a Democrat because their party platform mirrors my own ideals and values the closest. I just wish the elected Democrats would grow a backbone and stop caving to the right. Hopefully after Obama wins in November he won't have the threat of reelection over his head and he'll tell the stubborn Republicans to eff off like he should have done in the first place.
As a non Us citizen:
Democrat all the way, when i watch those republicans on tv i always feel ashamed for the US (lol... Bush)
Independent. I don't like either party really, they both have their pros and cons though.
It's shit like this, America.
First of all, following your logic, Canada and the UK are socialist countries.
The Democrats are a center right party. The Republicans are further to the right. There is no left wing in the U.S. that's represented.
Democrats are nowhere near socialism. They are a pro-capitalist and big business party.
You obviously have no clue whatsoever what socialism is, and you're just repeating what you hear from the TV pundits.
Democrat, because I don't like slander and bigotry, and there's less of it there.
Use to consider myself a Republican, but after seeing the ignorance presented on from both political parties, I switched to an independent that leans more toward the conservative side.
