Ron Paul's economics are b-e-autiful. He'd fuck everything else up, but he'd fix our economy.

He's pretty crazy, though...rather than crazy - just fanatical. A president needs a calm head above all else, this is why Ron Paul never makes it.

This pretty accurately describes our economics vs what Ron Paul suggests, in a nice entertaining rap form. (Keynes IS our current economic policy - Hayek is a true free market)

At the moment, though, I can't honestly care about either of these men making it into office. I hope an independent wins, but I highly doubt it.

As economy in most parts of the world is tanking anyways, I don't think it matters much.

On the other hand: WTS direct democracy, today cheap! (on the other hand, that would prolly go south too, so dont expect refunds!)

Either way you go it doesn't matter. If Obama wins or Romney what difference does it make? Congress is the sector you should care more about. I mean sure having the right person who fits your beliefs and outweighs pros v cons in a president is important but, a majority of crap that happens for the worse of this country happens in Congress and people are too ignorant to give a damn. It saddens me that the United States is being brainwashed by media and for the most part too lazy to actually keep up with politics and thus we get what we deserve in the end. If this country doesn't wake up the small business will cease to exist and corporations will lobby whatever they want into law. Simple fact is $$$ ='s one vote and one vote can change a country's fate for better and for worse. I know this was a "Romney vs Obama" discussion but, what i've stated is the simple truth.....Point being though people need to get their heads out of their rear ends.

Another 4 years of Obama please. And if Mitt wins well... At least is isn't Santorum or Gingrich.

What are you talking about? Some of his best friends employ human beings.

Plus, just the other day he made notice of how he also has 2 arms, two legs, and a body with a head, just like regular folk. He also noted, that just like regular folk, he sometimes eats, and sometimes doesn't.

    Obama please.

Well I'm not an American but I'd never vote for a pro-life candidate so that's me out right there.

Doesn't really matter anyway he seems like an also-ran to me. And Obama is a two-termer if ever I saw one.

from here in australia the whole republican campaign seems like it's primary aim is to prevent a black guy from being the president. all the republican candidates were complete morons and yet they support him just to get obama out of office.

the racist undertones of all the stuff spewing from the teaparty and fox news crowd is pretty fucking pathetic.

Why does everyone here have some kind of hate for Ron Paul? The guy is a straight shooter and all of his ideas sound great and would really help build the U.S back to the country everyone wanted to go to. You know, for the American dream..or some shit.

Except for the racism, the destruction of the US economy, and the utter collapse of the US as a whole, yea, Ron Paul sounds great.

Separation of church and state is a large factor, for me anyways.

Not all of his ideas are gold. As someone said above he seems to have his head a little too far into his holy book. However, there's more than enough good in his platform (that I've read) to make up for it.

Honestly, I'd like Obama to win. First) I like how he is going for equal rights. It might seem/is a way for him to stay president for one more term, but it's equal rights. I don't think there's anything out there that's as good. The illegal issue is something being worked on but he is trying to fix it; I mean, I know a couple of guys in school from Brazil who are like top of the class, I think they are top 5%, and they cannot study in the U.S. unless they go to some shitty community college. I think that's talent wasted. The other equal rights is the gay situation. I am not gay myself but I am not agaisnt it. You cannot force someone to contradict their hormones, nor can you switch temptations. I believe some of the laws are flawed because they follow religious terms. If I am right, isn't there something that goes agaisnt that? I applaud Obama for the risks he is taking. I will vote for him coming this election period. Also let's not forget that the only other runner up(Romney-he's the only one with a chance) is kind of corporate minded. The people who vote for Romney probably do not know that he is basically going to help the industries(both in and out of U.S.) which is not a bad thing. BUT- problem lies when companies get enough treatment that they move over seas for cheap labor, where are the jobs for the Americans? Obama is the only way to go in this period to be honest. He hasn't screwed up that bad, or at all, in his term and honestly the economy has gotten better, it's an issue that you work on for years (The great depression wasn't solved in a year). Let the man continue on his job and let's worry about something else other than his birth certificate.

No. If you cared enough to want to know more, you can look up all of his talking points and what his platform is, and you can make your own ideas about what it would do for the country.

Romney and Obama are exactly the same though?

Exact same foreign policy, both want to expand the drone war and attack Iran.
Exact domestic policy, expansion of drones within the country to make sure the sheep are behaving and both support NDAA.
Drug war... yup same ol' story.
Top contributors, the same banks, that also received bailouts, that both candidates support.

I could go on forever but I just woke up and my brain is a potato atm.

Gary johnston or Ron Paul 2012 or we're all fucked (WWIII and economic collapse).

I doubt WWIII is going to happen any time soon.

I have read about his points, I fail to see how his ideas will ruin the country. So since you have refused to elaborate, your points are invalid.

No, I am instead eager to see our current Commander in Cheif be replaced by someone who isn't (or is less of a) socialist. I would also like a Commander in Chief who actually cares what the Constitution says (not President Obama).
