    Arrow dispenser desgin

Looking for a way to make 2 dispensers on top of each other can fire when I press a button or lever or whatever from inside my base. So basically imagine I have a square base, and then there is a courtyard in front of it and the 2 dispensers facings towards my base. I want a way I can pull a lever or whatever and have them rapid fire when I want them too. I have looked up a ton of different ways to make them but its all triggered by a pressure plate, or lever is right on the dispensers. Everything I tried has failed.

This does what you explained: http://i.imgur.com/Pk6yS.jpg Just have to add a repeater of course.

Pretty much how I want it, now can I just extend he line of redstone out along about 50 ish blocks and put the lever at the end and have it be functional yet?

    or add a repeater

You can add a fairly simple clock to add the rapid fire effect though I've yet to figure out how to "kill" the circuit without physically removing a section of redstone from the circuit. It's been a while since I've actually messed with MC, last thing I built was a Digital Clock that used the redstone clock I mentioned but that was about two months ago and it took me a little while to get it to function properly with a button/switch though using a redstone clock to add the rapid fire may not be the best way to go about this.

You can setup a rapid pulse clock to shoot them rapid fire. Then have the switch activate a sticky piston to push a block to connect the clock to the line of redstone/repeaters.

    ToDispensors------[BlockHere]------ToRapidPulse

I'll edit in a pic in a sec.

For the dispensers to be on:

For the dispensers to be off:

Go to the section on Repeater Clocks:

That would work too, had to use something like that for the Digital Clock I mentioned above. Only problem I have with pistons is how noisy they can be, if you don't mind the noise a sticky piston would be perfect for what the OP is wanting, a more silent option(which is what I was hoping existed) would be this one I found just now on youtube.

Pretty straight forward and easily implemented into what the OP is wanting to do.

Honestly clocks aren't too bad, if you really start messing with redstone just wait till you try playing with logic gates. :P

If you want to scale it up... http://i.imgur.com/LsHAK.png
    You do This

The repeater powers the block it leads in to and the block it is sitting on. When the block the repeater is sitting on is powered, it triggers devices near it (Being directly powered also causes activation). This way you can get 2 dispensers, one on top of the other, powered using a single repeater.

Single unit that was used in the wall.

If you want to mess around with timing systems to get it to fire a certain amount of times, just PM me. I need projects.
