Anyone have a favorite genre while pvping or pveing in swtor? (Yes, I realize that its hard to listen to music while questing due to cut scenes)

Depends what class
Trooper = Imperial March don't ask me why
Imperal Agent = Shadow Warriors(mandalorian theme)
Sith Warrior = Death Metal for the most part :P
Jedi = Two steps from hell
While I love the way swtor feels... It tends to have the same feel in all the zones.
I think if they styled it a little more it would be more interesting.
I think Narshadaa should have had music like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reOO1cMTkSg
I mean, its like... a lawless city filled with violence... And yet its just as pristine as the rest of the universe?
Same with the lower levels of coruscant.
Need some burning wreckage and and bombed out buildings and some barrels with fires in them and hobos. Maybe some paper blowing around. Less perfect lighting.
80s had it right.

So right.
I can see where they attempted it.
But they didn't go far enough.
It all lacks grit.

I haven't listened to in-game music in an MMO since 2005. Weird I know? If the frequency of the music in SWTOR was increased and the ability to loop it, I wouldn't be listening to 80's rock/metal while playing a Star Wars game. I love the KoTOR music but don't have any soundtracks for it, so whatever. I did initially listen to the music in game though as soon as I went to a new planet, and as soon as it hit silence, I would mute sound and play my own stuff.
For pvping I usually either listen to electric or hard rock. When pvping I usually either listen to classic rock or alternative rock. If not I am probably watching a movie.
Time...line? Time isn't made out of lines. It is made out of circles. That is why clocks are round. ~ Caboose
Not so weird.
I found wows soundtrack so... well. I too have had my music muted since about then too.
I find that doing space missions requires music.
Like... Really badly.
Space-y music.

I usually listen to Coil when I play.

usually some form of metal, though i rarely ever listen to music with this game.... watching people talk to me, and not being able to hear what they're saying bugs the hell out of me.
To start with the ingame music.. then some random metal or dance music.. then for giggles I started playing to other games soundtracks.. I tried WoW, dragon age, Tron Evolution and a few others... Makes the game feel really weird, some really suit the game others definately do not...
I used to listen to dubstep/brostep when original Ilum was out. Something about it seemed to work...couldn't be the stuttering robot bass or anything.
In all honesty I enjoy the noise of this game. I think the only reason I don't listen to music in MMOs is because of how extensively I raided. WoW has some of the best sounds/ambience/music I've ever heard and I realized I've been shortchanging my experience by not having it on constantly. I'm going to continue this in SWTOR and hope they improve it as well.
it kinda depends on what class im playing...if im on one of my sith, usually random metal/iron maiden...all other classes will fall into other movie soundtracks like TRON, LOTR, etc., electronic music...or if im leveling alts and gonna be grinding for a while, i'll throw one of my fav. podcasts on in the background.
metal or dubstep wins most internet battles.
Same music I listen to any other time. Metal, classic rock, old school country, punk...just depends on my mood.
