    Upgrade on what (you hope): I am looking to be able to run on high WoW settings with fraps open and still get good frame 40+

    Willing to Self Build or a Pre-Built: Self build

    What all you plan to use it for: Games and recording via fraps (possibly some streaming)

    What Settings do you Want & how much FPS: Preferably high settings, 40+ FPS (25man raid setting)

    Which games? Wow/mmo/blizzard games in general? At what resolution? 1920x1080 or 1680x1050 or even lower?
    Honestly, all you would need to spend money on, is an aftermarket heatsink, and overclock the CPU. If you get it to reach 3.8-4.0 you should handle Ultra in raids at 50+fps most of the time, as long as you set shadows to the lowest. I have a comparable CPU (comes stock at 2.8GHz as well), and when clocked at 4.0 GHz, I can roughly raid LFR full ultra at 40fps+, but have the ocassional dip toward 25-30fps.

    Was looking at mainly WoW, resolution 1920x1080. Thanks for the tips i think im gonna look into grabbing a heatsink and just overclocking

    If you load up CPU-Z, there's a section in the main-tab called "Stepping". If you have a d0, you're in luck and it's one of the best there is and can overclock far.
