I used to be terrified of ghosts... until I talked myself into a simple understanding: everything has purpose, of some form or another. There is no reason for a ghost to harm me, and therefore I will not be harmed.

In my apartment, I used to see a great cat quite often, just on the edge of my vision and in the windows and such, often just as I as turning out the lights. I saw it for years, and it terrified me to the point where I wouldn't even get out of bed without waking up one of my sisters. After a while... I saw that it never harmed me, and I assumed that whether it was real or not, it had no intention of hurting me. After that... I wasn't scared anymore.

#3 is acid reflux, I get it too. The choking is a panic response to feeling your throat get stomach acid in it while you sleep.

And then, if there is someone there, you will get them away, and if there is no one there, well, nothing happens. And IF there are ghosts, and they charge you, just rape the shit out of them ! That's what I always do with ghosts. Or befriend them and take over the world together!
