if 5.0.1 goes on PTR today, we'll "test" it for a month, then 5.0.1 will go to Live servers. Once 5.0.1 goes to Live servers, its about a month after that before the Expansion goes live.

They already said the 5.0.1 pre MoP build will only be out for about 2 weeks prior to release, so 3 months and 2 weeks.

That would make the release date 18th Sept

Honestly....how can some1 say that a PTR for a patch will last 3 months...omg people look at facts...all previous pre expansion PTR lasted 1 moth...that's it.

Won't be launched on that day, it's an American company so not going to happen 28th of August or 4th of September are the dates.

Won't happen on beta. Pre-event is scaled for 85, not for 90. It's coming to PTR.

technically you are wrong yes activision is an American company blizzard is a french company they are both owned by vivendi which is french so the game could be released on september 11 although i believe it will be earlier say end of august

Seems to me that beta key holders will only miss doing the Theramore scenario while the PTR will only be doing the Theramore scenario. I will be happy to have something I haven't already seen when the pre-event goes live.

It is rather odd that beta-flagged accounts are banned from the PTR, but they've never done the "Annual Pass" before, either. Oh well.

Because you can't race/faction change in the beta =/

Also i just realized that people with beta CAN acsess it they just can't use the "WoW 2" (Or whatever you use for your beta) you gotta use the drop down menu to click "WoW 1".

No, you can't. If the WoW account is flagged for beta, you cannot access the PTR. "WoW 1" or "WoW 2" -- those are not accounts, just sub-categories within a single World of Warcraft license. Now if a person has another WoW license on the same Battle.Net account that is not flagged for beta, then that separate license (aka account) can log into the PTR.

And here's an earlier post basically stating the same thing:

You read it wrong. Read the very first line that says anyone with beta on their WoW license will not have access to the PTR.

However, if you have more than one WoW license on your BNET account then you will get the PTR with it. By that I mean no starter edition, no PTR123, no beta license, nothing like that, basicly second separate WoW account that you paid for.

One statement I would also like to make: I'm tired of conspiracy theories involving Blizzard doing A, B, or C due to game/company X, Y, or Z. I'm all for having some fun with guessing the release date (early to mid-September, imo), but jeez... Give it a rest with all this Guild Wars 2 stuff.
