I'll treat them like the gnomes from Warcraft. If they aren't an ugly male (I don't think you can make an ugly female gnome), or not wearing plate, I won't wish them harm.
Have you ever seen an ugly male gnome? Or a gnome warrior/DK wearing plate tanking for you? Makes me want to pick them up by their round heads and throw them like a heavy, non-aerodynamic baseball.
So, yeah. I'll be much happier to see a cute adventurer/scholar Asura than an ugly Warrior Asura. Guardians usually look amazing for some reason though, so maybe I will allow Guardian Asurans so slide.

I think they fit into the GW universe very well. They may not be your race of choice but they are definitely extremely interesting in terms of lore and integration into the storylines in GW2. I for one look forward to playing as / with asura.
