That describes pretty much every Renekton top lane though. He needs to get ahead fast and then stay ahead. He has one of the best early games and very few champs can withstand it.

He can stand up against other champions as the lane phase goes on, Yorick just isn't one of those champions though. Very specifically needs to bully Yorick.

Why is that?

Also, could someone point out counters against yorick please? It seems to me that he is healing for too much even if I evade ghosts and kill them asap. Please include why as well :P

That is because most of Riven's damage comes from her passive enhaced attacks, which her Q resets with each jump and activates a passive charge. That and Ignite = FB on mostly anyone.
