but if u dont have enigma (archon or light plate runeword) u will not be able to teleport.. meaning u wont be able to clear as fast as usual.

your 2nd best bet would be a blizzard sorceress with full synergies. just rush to hell then farm chaos sanctuary runs for lvl ups.

be warned . the servers are garbage and 9/10 times you'll get failed to join game... kinda takes the fun outta mfing.

Bad idea.

I'm one of those idiots who thinks Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the best game ever made and that no one game in the world will ever be even remotely as good as that one. But if I try to play the game right now I will scratch my eyes out because of how horrible it looks and how clunky the gameplay is.

I do have to say it is funny to see how many people just bought into the d3 hype that have never played the games before it.


Here are a few tips, Diablo 2 you will not hit max level within 3 or 4 months and thats if you bot 24/7. Max level is 99. It takes around 4000 somthing games of chaos and Baal runs to get from just 98 to 99.

Most of the farming is done around 88-92 is when people stop running games and farm, or they farm while then. Chances are you will not get any good loot fast. I had a friend who botted 3 accounts 24/7 in about a day he might have one item worth keeping, in 1 week maby 4 items. The rest is just trash and such or common uniques.

If you go into the mindset that diablo 2 will be anything like d3 your wrong, Id have to say prob the only thing that is simlar between the 2 is the story. its soo different it should even have the same game name. And btw Use d2jsp.com It is the AH for diablo 2 that it should have had.

Any skellymancer who puts a single point into the PNB tree is a complete noob. Skellymancers should never use those skills ever, waste of points.

To be honest, the magic of Diablo 2 isn't in finishing the campaign. It was that game's particular high level farming/trading atmosphere.

One can play Diablo 2 for the first time now and see the base components of the game fair enough. But one can never understand what it meant to play Screamer, Trapsin or bot 4 accounts of Sorceresses for 5 years without end.

Killing Baal/Diablo is the least of Diablo 2.

Part of the challenge is hitting max level. It's a massive time investment and yields no significant tangible benefits compared to simply being high level (level 90 or so). Very few people on ladder hit max level for "farming", it was a prestige thing only.

As others have said, hammerdin is stupid OP, but if you're starting out fresh they're hard to gear up compared to other classes.

What a waste of money. I know this game was released in 2000. But the graphics and gameplay are terrible. Ultima Online released in 1997 was a 2D click to mvoe game but a lot smoother to play and looked better and of course Everquest in 1999 was a lot better looking and again both games easier to move around in and interact with things. The graphics are like regular NES. Good thing I didnt buy the box set so i only wasted $10. Gotta sell something on the RMAH now to get that back. This game looks so horrible not even worth playing never got past level 6. How was this game so popular and yet look so bad, even for games of its time?

The game is much better than you give it credit. Yes the graphics are bad but you only see low level stuff and that's where D2 suffers the most; the inventory tetris, the stamina bar that's constantly empty, and the lack of mana to do anything. However once you get past all that, and you get better gear, the game becomes amazing to play. Just give it time, and D2 will grow on you.

Heh well the first thing your going to learn about why D2 is better is the lvl cap is 99 and there is no "hit max level as fast as possible" like there was in D3. But I think you will find that D2 has more substance and wont even realize your not max level and still doing the same type of end game D3 offers.

You should also be playing in window mode, today's monitors and resolution make the game look far worse. There are also mods you can install to enhance graphics provided your not playing a ladder character because you cannot connect to battlenet with them.

Dont judge this game by its graphics, it truly is far superior to D3 in its current state.
