    If in doubt ...

Please refer to this flow chart to see if you are able to commit to a rational adult discussion.

We had a saying when I was in the navy. If in doubt, give it a clout. seems to work quite often.

Too bad the rest of the world isn't going to comply with your "rules."
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
    All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

Well one of his first problems is expecting people to be rational.

Give you a hint, they aren't.

It's either the act of hitting something or an object you use to hit something. It's American English as much as it is British English.

If the world actually utilized that system, we'd have no wars, no problems, everything will be calmly discussed and solved in a efficient and ethical manner. Oh wait...

To belt something. My method would actually work, if you act like a dick online or troll, without thinking things through, your PC should punish you physically. You would not act like a complete prick online if there is a chance your keyboard will give you an electric shock or something.

Most of reasoning when it comes to humans is purely subjective. Making this whole post useless.

Surely there is no disconnect here.

And yeah, may not be the funniest, but I liked it, thought i'd share it. Found it originally on the Whitechapel forums.

Not need to be so serious

    Love you!

Actualy quite interresting flow chart. I mean, I'd discuss that it has major flaws and can in several ways be deconstructive rather than constructive as it attempts to stop you from aquiring and introducing new ideas while current ideas are being discussed. Usually, discussions where you're debating two subjects can lead to a third, more diplomatic or even better idea, but abiding by the flow chart rules will eliminate that.

But it's very funny and I'd take that over mindless flamefests =)

Oh yeah, It's like the worst way of discussing isn't it.

"Ohh, I have a great idea that can save the world" ... "Sorry but your input is invalid as we are discussing what food to get at the chinese" ... "Brilliant"

Flamefests are boring now. "Oh, your flaming me for playing a game I enjoy? Please let me get a cup of tea while you tell me how much of a fanboi I am /sarcasm"
