Returning Rift Player. Looking for some Help :)

I played Rift right when It first came out. I enjoyed the game quite a bit. However a few weeks into the game my account was compromised and I lost my gear / gold. During this time this was happening to alot of people and by the time my support ticket was resolved I had already given up on the game. I am hearing good things about rift lately and was wondering what the communities opinion on it was. Also what are some good websites to check out to help my get back into the game.
