If I'm not mistaken, Greece is always first, and the host country is last - of course I could be wrong....

It's kind of funny seeing the leaders of the countries shown - some of them seem more excited than the athletes!

Yeah, Greece always comes first, then alphabetical, then host nation at the end. But we're Great Britain not just Britain anyway.. we'll still be at the end though.

I love it when they do a shot of the size of the stadium and when some of the larger countries like China and USA take up half the track.

Their first place Medal war will be really interesting.

This ceremony takes wild swings between awesome and bizarre.

They say Bolt has something special planned for the Jamaica entrance, knowing him he'll sprint round the entire stadium at half pace and rejoin his country before they take their place.

Technically we should as we use Athletes from Northern Ireland, however we're registered in the IOC as Great Britain.


Edit: We also get the dependancies and overseas territories as part of Team GB.

I was worried It would be all *Green* but so far so good, I like the funny and party aspect. My worst fear was GB showing off some kind of green money saving show. Bar it being very odd which I like its all good.

There was a few spam threads on MMO not sure if they got deleted though. I'm sure there must a free stream its only BBC1 so free to view and such

Loved the first part of the entrance ceremony. So cool! Also really liking that they dont seem to be taking themselves to seriously, lots of humour in there

Agreed. Love the simplistic take on the uniforms. Get a little choked up whenever I see our athletes walk into an Olympic stadium with the flag waving proudly.

And yes, Greece is always first and the host nation is always last.
