It will be interesting to see how they adapt it for modern audiences but I've never been a huge superman fan anyways so I'm not terribly excited.

The trailer during The Dark Knight Rises was possibly the worst trailer ever. It did not do the movie any sort of service considering it's cast.

I've always HATED Superman. His costume, his name, his persona, his name, his alias, his "disguise"... Everything!

    ... But this looks promising.

Also I remember seing some photos from the cast and such where he had an armored suit - wonder why.

This looks interesting. I'll probably see it. I enjoyed Henry Cavill in The Tudors. For me though, there will never be a better Superman than Christopher Reeve.

he's used a few armored suits.
for example he had a lead one for when he was transporting kryptonite

Definitely somebody to watch films not by the actors attached, but by the director or the story (I will watch any movie by David Fincher) - so we shall see.
I hated Watchmen and 300 - but that wasn't really Zack's fault, he didn't write either thing.

At the end of the trailer some guy actually started booing and said Batman is better which got the audience laughing.

Hard to really say anything about the movie as they didn't really show too much. I just hope this isn't going to be another origin story where the first hour of the movie shows him leaving Krypton and growing up on earth.

Hopefully it does well though that we finally get the Justice League movie.

Well, it can't be worse than the dreadful Brandon Routh movie.
I don't hate you. I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence.

I'm hesitant for one reason, Zack Snyder.

Sucker Punch is the worst movie I have ever seen, period. And yes, I'm being serious.

It scarred me deeply for life. So I will have lowered expectations.

I didn't realize Nolan was attached until a few days ago so I'm more interested now.

I'm on the fence with Uberman. I loved him growing up but then Burton's Batman films, and then the X-Men cartoon, completely changed what I like in my uberheroes. Superman is a bit too lofty for my tastes. I prefer my heroes more down to earth, less powerful, and tackling more human issues. I watched Smallville for a few seasons but then eventually lost interest in Clark.

Maybe this movie will turn it around though.

Probably - We need good super hero movies to erase the memories of the billion terrible ones.

I believe this is the first movie that will eventually lead to Justice League of America. Just like how Marvel show each individual their story and movie first before forming into The Avengers.

Christopher Nolan/Legendary Pictures is the only reason I have hope for this movie. Superman films have been bombing hard in recent decades and maybe with all the Dark Knight experience they could actually manage something good.

Not sure what to think about this atm. Yes I like Nolan being tagged to the project, but Snyder is a seriously mixed bag. Snyder has an amazing eye for capturing visuals as though they popped right out of a comic book, but the flow and feeling of his movies tends to be hugely lacking.
