    WoW is already an e sport game for several years now with professional players and price money.

    The participating arena teams get the same gear sets and so all is reduced to skills.

    Also players in Diablo 3 will be matched against players with equal gear and skills.

    While not targetting the real esport market in D3, the gear matching will be an interesting thing to look into.

    Seriously, if you're going to make claims at least have some reasonable logic to support your claim. It is based on the Elo system, you know the one from chess? In theory you will continue to move up/down the invisible ladder until you get to a 50% win rate. The select few at the top of the food chain will obviously have a much higher than 50% win rate, but gear will not be carrying them.

    It would be quite easy to make anything an esport. See WoW and it's atrocious PvP.
