    Yes, but:

You can get a cheaper motherboard (Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Asus P8Z77-V LK, Gigabyte Z77 UDH-3)
The i5 3570K is better than a 2600K for gaming, and is cheaper.
Unless you are planning on using more than two graphics cards, you don't need an 850W PSU.
Speaking of graphics cards, which are you planning on using?

I have noticed there is one of these for sale only a couple bucks more

    Intel Core i7-2700K BX80619i72700K Unlocked Processor - Quad Core, 8MB L3 Cache, 1MB L2 Cache, 3.50 GHz (3.90 GHz Max Turbo)

    Would it be better

    Or the cpu you mentioned?

For gaming, the 2700k would be about equal to the 3570k.

And for the video card: with the "old" 5870 you probably won't need a better/newer card anytime soon. It is still a pretty decent piece of Hardware.
Why do something simple, when there is a complicated way?
    Ryzen 7 2700X | BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 | 16GB DDR4-3200 | MSI X470 Gaming Pro | MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G | 500GB / 750GB Crucial SSD
Fractal Define C | LG 32UK550 | Das Model S Professional Silent | CM Storm Xornet

I got the ram and motherboard i listed aswell as the 850watt psu just incase i might want to use multiple video cards in the future

As for the cpu im still trying to choose i will probably get the i7 2700k or something better as im not really concerned with the price

The i7 3770K would be a better choice if the cost can be disregarded. Otherwise get an i5 3570K.

You could run triple GTX 670's and a overclocked system with a 850W PSU.

Ordered the i7 3770k should get it tuesday

And in hindsight the psu might be alittle overkill but oh well

Thank you all for the info.
