Going to Gamescom by car, sticker needed?

so this year im going to gamescom and ill be doing so by car. i know that in some german cities (and other european cities for that matter) you need some sticker which indicates how bad your car pollutes. ive found this map ( http://www.lowemissionzones.eu/count...koelnlbglfontg) which as far as i can tell has the köln-messe area as a non LEZ (low emission zone) but i just dont know how reliable it is so if there is any germans around (or other people really) who know anything about it it would be much appreciated

Since January 1, 2008, Cologne’s city center is a low emission zone, into which only vehicles sporting one of the stickers for emission groups 2-4 are allowed to enter.

The Koelmesse exhibition center is, however, accessible for all types of vehicles, even if they do not bear one of the aforementioned stickers You will find directions on how to reach the site at How to get here.

So I guess if you're not going to be driving around cologne city centre you don't need one if you follow their directions to the exhibition center. If you're going to be driving around or visiting anywhere else in the city centre zone you will probably need one.
