GW2 isnt wow, it isnt trying to be wow, and one of the developers goals was specificly to design the UI in such a way that it didnt need the UI overload that drove wows addon development.
BTW your ANTIHYPE is sillier than the HYPE you accuse us of falling pray to. For myself I have very specific reasons I'm excited about this game. I've seen those specific reasons in practice and know what I'm getting. I also have a few specific things I'm not all that happy about but they are small compaired to what I do like. My eyes are wide open. Yours are apparently shut because the only argument you seem to be able to present is "Every other MMO didnt live up to its billing". I say whats your point? The fact that dev team A failed by following path 1 does not mean dev team B following path 2 is also going to fail. Different teams different directions, little correlation beyond the fact that both make an MMORPG.
