Cod MW3 error on steam an " iw5mp.exe error"

my computer is only a couple months old quick specs

3.4 ghz quad core
radeon 5770
8gig ram
700watt power supply


So I purchased cod mw3 on steam. to play on the pc and I got in for the first game but i noticed some serious lag. So i figured it was maybe the host. then I went into a second game and got the same problem. So I thought well maybe I should go into my video settings and Tweak that down some. Ever since then I get a error now "Iw5mp.exe" the game will not load .. if i change any of the options It will freeze up.

I currently have

wow
Aion
GuildWars1
Skyrim
Diablo3
dc universe
BF3
Mop Beta
Tera
Blacklight retribution



all these games work flawless .... Has anyone seen or know about this error. cause i can't believe especially cod with such a old engine it would run so sluggish on my machine. Not to mention this error that ive never heard of. I have done some research on it and Ive done some of the options people have suggested. I just wanted to ask you guys if yall have a clue about this error
