And this expectation is why no new game will ever satisfy this type of gamer. It is completely unrealistic to expect any game to be able to come out with or even get close to the amount of content another game has amassed after 7 + years. Simply not going to happen ever. Will they produce regular content updates? I know they will. Will they pump out content every month, every three months? Nope probably not. Will they produce content a couple of times a year with a xpac at the end of the year? yep that you can be sure of something along these lines.

No game will ever be able to keep enough content coming out to satisfy the most voracious of the content consuming player base. Seeing as your not paying monthly however It will be far more than enough to justify the purchase and continued support of the game. Your only ever out as much as a regular one off game if you never buy anything out of the cash shop so enjoy it for what it is.

Its not even content. WoW has a lot of content available, but considering that 90% of it is redundant and completely invalid i doesnt actually have that much to do.

People look at things like features and QoL. A dressing room is one good example, you cant ship an MMO that doesnt let you preview gear. Thats just a step back in every respect. There are many more examples ofcourse, just like this one.

But Gw2 does have a lot of those features. It has a fast means of traveling, a decent (not amazing) AH UI, a generally good UI, easy show/dont show for head and shouder, quickly store items from your bags without having to go to town, special tab for all crafting materials, an easy UI to swap gear. And either they had, or wanted to add, the dressing room.

Gw2 has all those little features that players come to expect and bring them an improvement to their QoL.
