Used to be maybe once a week but lately my wife's been working late so it's been more like 3 times a week. Which I'm not totally thrilled about but cooking for one sucks :P

some 6-8 times per year. More than half of that is for pizza and the rest an actual restaurant I sometimes visit with my brother and sister.
Once every few months, it's ridiculously expensive so we generally tend to keep it to special occasions.
I can't seem to resist the clarion call of fast food.....
Carl's has a awesome grilled cheese bacon burger........ mmmmmmmmmmm
Now I need to visit EpicMEALTime and thisiswhyyourefat.
I guess it depends on how you look at it.
I work at a restaurant, sometimes 7 days a week - I eat there every time I work, because why pay for food that I can eat for free?
So if you count that, every day.
About 4 times a month, but it's not evenly distributed. My girlfriend lives in Denmark while I live in Finland. We see each other about every 2 weeks, and normally go for dinner about 2 times in 4 days or so.
I only really eat out on special occasions, so I went with never. On your average day I make my own food.
Where is the option once a month? It's either you go out to eat every week at least once or never.
I always wonder when I see things like this. Economic crisis? I go out to eat every week but this crisis is killing me .
We went to a casino for the first time last week. I see people dropping € 50 or € 100 like it's nothing. We are so bad off, lol.

I really went in a completely different direction at the titles meaning when I first looked at this thread lol.
For me though,
Fast food would be around once every 3-4 months, if not more (McDonalds, Wendy's, pizza, chinese etc...).
Thai, Viet (pho) places I go probably 2-3 times a month though, and the more up scale places ($25+ entrées) maybe 1-2 times every 2 months.
In all on average I probably go out some where between 3-4 times a month, seems like a lot (or at least I feel like it is) but my spending is geared toward that being the way it is. I never buy coffee, I rarely go to clubs, I spend on average about $100 less then most people for my phone/cell/internet/cable (cause i don't have cable and only use a cell) so the rather high amount of times going out to eat thai/viet or some other interesting restaurant isn't really a big dent. Not to mention that most of the thai/viet places we go to usually end up costing sub $20 for both my girlfriend and I. We just really love trying new places and thai/viet food so we budget around that fact.
Well, I guess different countries, different cultures, but in Denmark we are atleast not eating out much. I tend to only eat out 1 times a month or less.
I know that alot of workers and business men in the USA and say Canada eat at resturants for lunch and so on, maybe that's somewhat common in Denmark to.
I'm a poor student, I don't have the money to eat out often.. Maybe twice a month if you count fast food, properly eating out... Every few months I guess. Besides, I get much better food by visiting my parents, and that's free
2-3 times, only some fancy expensive restaurants, not fast food crap.
No 'other' option for people who go out but not every week? I'm usually at a restaurant twice a month.
The generalist looks outward; he looks for living principles, knowing full well that such principles change, that they develop. It is to the characteristics of change itself that the mentat-generalist must look. There can be no permanent catalogue of such change, no handbook or manual. You must look at it with as few preconceptions as possible, asking yourself, "Now what is this thing doing?" -Children of Dune
Like, once every other weekend.
