Why are people complaining about the expansion being "childish" and using the questing as proof?
Are we not going to be at level 90 for 98% of the expansion doing RBGs, Arenas, Raids, world PvP, etc?
If you're going to call the game childish, at least use end game content to back it up.

If you read crazyjoes posts earlier on and I 100% Agree with him, here is what he wrote.

I would agree with you but it's the current perception of the game where everything gets handed to players on a plate more then pandas itself. So when people see Pandas its like OMG they dumbing down the content even more and they giving us pandas, damn I may aswell give this account to some 10 year old. Trust me if the games content was still challenging like TBC pandas would be getting a lot of respect.

So pandas have become a casualty of the current game philosophy which has been dumbing down the content with each expansion.I actually feel sorry for the poor pandas, its not there fault.lol

    It's not childish.
You just got too old for it.

Same as most others, we've just outgrown the game.

"hey look! new awsome class , it can kick everyone elses ass easy, come buy this xpac and make a MONK" not even when the DK introduced we saw such shame on a cinematic, take TBC cinematic for example that show many races / classes and thier skills but no1 is above anyone else.

the stupid look upon the faces of the orc and human at the sight of the panda is clearly an insult for some ppl who enjoyed true warcraft for over 20 years that now see how blizzard is selling them out to say pandas are >> everyone else.

yes kong fu panda movies were not the first to introduce martial arts pandas but the success of the films made them change thier minds and ride the popularity wave of fighting pandas to come out with this xpac to attrack a new much needed younger gen to boost the subs back up again. (and throw in a pokemon just in case)

the epic fail of this last minute xpac idea change is shown in the cinematic , me and im sure many other didnt even know that the panda monk in the cinematic was chen, cause adding an animal race on two legs is stupid , you cant even distinct one from another, they needed a blue post to tell ppl "hey its Chen!! not just a simple panderan"
and who exactly is chen? the only living playable panderan from WC3 that all he was is a hero for hire in a bonus sideline campaign?
and what does he do after the cinematic? escort you and your pokemon to stormstout brewery to fight giant rats and bunnies?

its so obvious what this xpac is ment for...
While my first thought at their WTF face was "finally a bit of the old blizzard back". Blizz has pretty much always been a bunch of jokers and warcraft has always embraced that. Even starcraft(which is on the surface at least much darker than warcraft) has some humor hell even diablo does. No if anything they may be starting to get it. Though the sticking to a deadline thing DOES bother me. Until blizzards response for a release time is "soon" or "it's ready when it's ready" again i feel the TRUE blizzard will not be back wuite yet.

Another one of thesse threads... how refreshing. Calling the rest of the game childish doesn't it make it any less ridiculous to call MoP childish.

What's childish is a 9 threads with 900+ pages dedicated to talking about "Pony Tails" and most of the fans are probably men, now that's childish!

Outland was the home world to the orcs and the draenei. I also suppose you've never leveled a tauren, or a gnome, or a goblin, or done the kalu'ak dailies, or participated in anything in WoW light-hearted and stick only to the dark and violent side of the game?

Also, to say there's nothing to do in Mists of Pandaria, while thinking there was sooooooooooooooooo much to do in Cataclysm and TBC is rather silly. WoW now has more stuff to do other than leveling than ever, and you say there's nothing to do? What you mean is, that the game has gotten stale and it doesn't interest you any more. You don't have to justify that you're bored of the game. Just say you're bored of it and quit, you don't need to insult it because you're bored.
By that logic, Pandaria is about the Mantid, the Sha, the Hozen, and the war between the Alliance and the Horde. ill let you in on a little secret, war between the ali and the horde is ongoing for about 20 years..no one will ever win it, thats the core of warcraft, giving us an ali vs horde based xpac is like selling ice to the eskimos. and what exactly are those sha mantid and hozen? monkey men? fish men? and insect men? and dark blobs? after deathwing...excuse me while i hurl..and if they are so important to the plot of MoP , where are they in the cinematic? thier importance is visible as thier screen time. by the next tier patch all the problems of those races and the sha will be solved if not by the time you reach lvl 90.

Outland was the home world to the orcs and the draenei but you dont go there cause of the orcs or the derani...you go there to protect the portal from swarming demons from entering our world and start pushing back untill you reach the lord of outland and put him to rest and stopping the demons gates from sending more demons..

I think people are going to be shocked with initial MoP sales. 2.5 million copies sold imo, not the 4mil + people are expecting in the 1st month.

Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne (First appearance of Pandaren) released July 1 2003. - a single hero for hire in a sideline bonus campaign isnt realy making a convincing case here to introduce a new race. more like a sideline joke, the NE were introduced in WC3 , find the differences please

Except that Martial Arts Pandas were floating around Blizzard HQ long before the movie Kung Fu Panda ever came out. Try again.
weak point , only that it was obvious why arnt they in wow all this time untill kong fu panda came out and they just decided to ride the popularity of fighting pandas genre to capitalize on an old joke idea they had called the panderans ...

anything else you want to add?
How about that even in vanilla the pandaren were referenced?

That's the beauty of these kinds of people. They go on and on and on and on about how childish pandaren are, "explaining" why, yet they come up with the most childish of jokes possible. And then they expect to be taken seriously when they present what passes for arguments in their brains.

I think this is a lot funnier then the panda cinematic, you see there is funny stuffs you gets outside of wows, maybe blizz should stick to what makes everyone happy instead of dividing the playerbase.

    I agree and disagree..

IT IS childish! Blizzard is moving in a direction that aims the game towards kids rather than adults..

it's partly why I cancelled my subscription..

when they announced Pandas.. (ironically the same time the annual pass was announced)

I was at first going to get the annual pass.. but when I sat there at the billing screen.. I had an epiphany

it was crystal clear, as blinding as sunlight thru dark rainy clouds

WAS I GOING TO BE PLAYING WITH PANDAS? my answer was no.. and furthermore.. if I could not see myself playing this game with the new direction Blizzard is taking to.. aiming it for kids.. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF GETTING THE ANNUAL PASS?

as you can see my answers was simple.. you're right. We have outgrown the game.. and at that moment in time, for me, everything became clear

what was the point of getting the annual pass if I knew my time with WoW was done and I would not be around with Pandas and Pokemon

so you're right.. absolutely correct.. it is a question everyone has to answer for themselves... as I did

do you see yourself playing this kids game? I knew my answer back then

cancelled my subscription, never looked back, and this was before the Guild Wars 2 fever gripped me

First off, with the way your post is written, I would be surprised if you did not fit in the "childish" category...
Now to address the issues you bring up. The monk in the cinematic is CHEN STORMSTOUT. Imagine putting somebody like Garrosh of Varian against 2 people in a cinematic. It would be the same idea. People who knew that it was Chen had no issues, those who did not and play WoW SHOULD know. Those who don't play the game obviously wont know who he is, just like they didn't know Illidan, Arthas, or Deathwing.

Now calling Pokemon childish?! SHAME ON YOU! I'm sure we all killed a lot of time on those Pokemon games! I'll gladly try the new pet battle system because of my love for those games.

The expansion is obviously not last minute, it honestly fits right in with the lore. It seems like it will be like a gateway for the darker times that will come after. Honestly, that's why I feel blizzard has made more light hearted themes in MoP, because after it, we will see nothing but darker themes.

To sum it up. Don't talk out of your ass.

Literally anything they do causes a group of people to whine like it's the end of the world. ANYTHING. From the smallest change to the biggest features, EVERYTHING they do causes whining. What makes you think that there's anything they can do that won't cause a divide between the community? The freaking community has been divided since this game was released, and nothing will change that until the game dies for good.

Maybe content is the right word I should of used. Players were content all the way through to end of Ulduar. Subs kept going up... they made some changes that werent fair to a lot of core and community building players like GMs and officers of 25 man raiding guilds.

there is even a reference of angels and god like our world's god, does that counts as evidence of thier exsistancel in wow? No

MoP and panda monks are a result of a hard bizniz decision..not a true fan request, check the response of the crowd at blizzcon after the trailer.
