It's actually been pretty smooth since the little (No pvp / no log in ) for several hours fiasco, Not bad Arenanet! Not bad

idd, if it wasnt for the few hours when d/c people couldnt log back in, it didn't go all that bad.
would almost say it would have been perfect without that.

From all the posts I've read, a lot of people had trouble logging in and if they did, were booted. It's seemed far from smooth honestly.

Anyone expecting to be able to play right from day 1 in a freaking MMO launch has no clue how insanely difficult and complicated it can get. It doesn't matter how many months/years you prepare for launch day, the launch-day server loads (i.e. 10x higher than normal) are going to cause someone somewhere is going to have issues getting in and only then can ANet start troubleshooting.

Considering they don't exactly own 50 yachts like Blizzard, ANet has done an alright job.

Aside from the occasional lag spikes, this launch has been pretty good.
