    Lion running around Essex

No idea if this is true or not. But some people are saying there is a Lion running around Essex. The local Zoo says it the picture of it looks like one and none of theirs are missing. Others say it escapes from a Circus that was nearby. To me it looks like someone got bored and played with Photo shop.

Since I am new I can post links. However just go to google and search for Essex Lion.

Unless you go around trying to corner it or smack it, I wouldn't worry too much.

As long as it has plenty of game to eat, sure. Lions who get hungry, though, will go after people. When I was working in Mozambique, there were 2 lions who ate 26 people in our project area over the course of 4 months.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
    All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

    The Ghost and the Darkness?

That having said: Meh; wouldn't be surprised if it were a hoax. People believe all sorts of things. If you come across it, just walk the other way and phone the police.

It was a bit like that, except that it wasn't eating people that worked for us, and once the client hired some "game guards," they managed to kill the lions in question within a month.

Man, that's one vicious beast. (No, I meant the cat.)

Apparently it took some coaxing to get him out from under the bed for the BBC interview. Good thing nobody got hurt.

I'm originally from Essex... I know I shouldn't be embarrassed because of this, but I am. I really am!

Yeah definitely has the more pointed ears of a domestic cat. Cute cat, though; Maine coons are one of my favorite breeds.

Although the image is fuzzy enough that the cat could appear to be a lynx or bobcat. But a lion? Nope.
That fabric softener teddy bear...oooh I'm 'a hunt that little bitch down.
