H: Madness 2 Heal

Our guild currently has 4 kills on Heroic Madness and all 4 times we have 1 tank, 3 healed it. We are usually killing Madness with about 45sec-1min on the enrage timer. Ive been told that 2 healing it is an option as the extra DPS should make it so the Corruption is down before the 2nd Impale goes off. So my question is if we do this method do we have the right healing comp for it? I heard that Disc isn't the strongest for 2 healing (may be wrong). Also should the platform order be different from Green > Red > Yellow > Blue?

My guild usually runs with rdruid and hpriest. Probably not optimal, but healing has never been an issue for us on heroic madness.

I've 2 healed it as a Hpally with both a disc priest, resto shaman and a resto druid. I've also been in a group that's 2 healed it with a resto shaman and a resto druid. As long as the healers know what to do and the dps don't take unnecessary damage from the smash thing it should be easy.

We managed to get it done with a holy priest and a resto druid. Was rough but for sure doable.

Not sure it's going to help you much if you only kill it 45 secs before enrage. We 2 tank 3 heal it and have more time left than that.

The major difference if you 2 heal it is you keep blood lust for the final platform when you burn DW after 10% bloods.

I'm not sure that looking at how it was done previously will be all that helpful, as we're getting all the pre-MoP changes and many classes are changing quite a bit. There isn't a reason that I can think of where you'd want to do the platforms in another order. Other than that, I think you might just have to see how it goes with 2 healers. Not only will dropping a healer for a dps speed things up I believe that most classes overall are doing more damage at 85 with the pre-MoP stuff than they were before, so you'll probably have a decent jump up in dps. I just don't know how healing will look - mana pools were nerfed a lot, but regen will be higher and I have no idea how that will come into play on a long fight like DW.

Been 2 healing it since like 10%. Hpally disc is probably the best way to go, our disc does like 20k dps on that fight.

My guild does it with 2 tanks and 2 heals (Rdruid, Hpally), so you should be fine with your comp. Hell we even had to 9 man the final platform since our hunter fell off during the blue platform.

as other have stated your healing comp is not really important.

To answer your other question, No the platform order does not change it should still be Green > Red > Yellow > Blue.

Your healing comps are not relevant, I've healed it with 2 discs. Yes you should 2-heal it OP.

OT: I'm a firm believer that underhealing things makes your life a lot easier on 10 man once nerfs have come out - I'm fairly confident that 2 healing 10 man heroic madness is viable with almost any healing comp, and has been viable with almost any comp for quite a long time.

I'm a resto druid and I've 2 healed it with every healing class in the game, including a 2 week old disc priest alt, and another resto druid. As long as your healers aren't terrible, it should be easy enough. It's also more fun. GL

Oh and last week, I derped on spine and fell off on the very first plate. My paladin partner healed the rest of the fight with a boomkin throwing rejuvenations. You don't really need much for DS these days.

platform order is the same i believe, and i would 2 heal it. and get an extra dps. makes it easier and stuff.

We ordinarily 1 tank 2heal (Me as prot warrior, Disc priest + Hpal) We've killed it with every 2heal setup (Other than duplicates, ie 2x Rshams), but always 1tanked.

We 1 tank (prot warr) and 2 Heal (Resto druid and disc priest). We go the normal platform order, with dream, left x 2, right then finally the far right platform (I forgot names waa )
