shadowstepping friendlies

has this always been an option? i just noticed that i could use shadowstep on any target, not just enemies. has it always been like this?

It's a new feature. Not sure whether it was introduced in 5.04 or the patch before.

5.0.4 - definitely useful, especially when there is that nasty aoe under the boss for squeezing dps til last second then stepping over a healer

I'd like to add some great use I've found for it in an "OhSh" moment, but the only thing I've managed to do with it so far is parasite bomb a shaman on Madness.

In theory though, this is AWESOME.

Saved me a heck of a lot of times in PvP. Can't wait to macro it to a partner in 2v2s.
