Hopefully the link works. A scientist is researching whether human emotion could influence the Earth.

He's wasting his time it was already proven in Ghostbusters 2.

Sha? No. Energies causing magnetic responses? Possibly.
Oh for gods sake... Surely these scientists can find something more interesting and valuable to research like how many fruit pastilles it takes to choke a horse. Or maybe even (god forbid) help out the space program/drugs trials.
Sounds like a crackpot to me.McCraty is an internationally recognized authority on heart-rate variability, heart-rhythm coherence and the effects of positive and negative emotions on human psychophysiology.
"Could Human Emotions Affect the Earth?"
Well, if this is what science spends time on, then I am afraid of human development. I will show you an example on how Human Emotions affect the Earth, constantly.
- Man discover chocolate, chocolate is good, it makes man happy. Man produce chocolate by ripping up the earth and pollute the air. All to make man happy, and keep his emotions in check.
Sup science....
Apply blizzards model to any other subscription service, you'd be outraged:
Netflix adds no new movies for a year, you click a new movie, there's a $5 fee.
You're in an accident, click your onstar button, but there's an addition $20 fee for them to help.
You turn on your tv only to find all you get are the infomercial channels. Every other show is pay per view.
See how dumb that model is?
It's funny because the people who look at these sorts of things and say "These scientists are idiots", are generally quite unintelligent themselves. If you knew anything about theoretical physics, you would be aware that the majority of things about the Universe and how it works are generally counter-intuitive to our understanding. (Ex: It is hypothesized that the Universe is actually 2-dimensional and we just percieve it in 3-dimensions or it is projected onto a 3-dimensional plane of sorts).
Deathknight's do it using disease, blood and the power of the unholy. Warlocks do it with dark demons by their side. Mages do it with summoned arcane powers. Druids do it using the forces of nature. Rogues do it through stealth, poison's, shadows and....from behind. Paladins do it by calling to the light for aid. Shamans do it with the help of the elements. Priests do it through the holy light.
But warriors....
Warriors just fucking do it.
And Corporations did not do this because of mans emotional desire to make things easier for themselves, or for selfish reasons?
We, the human race are making our marks on this planet and we the human race are governed by individual emotions, in which our actions are governed by those emotions. Wether we grow away from this behaviour is for anyone to say. "Vulcans anyone?"

Human emotion are already messing everything up, One of the biggest is... you got it. War.
The only thing humans do that affects the Earth is upset the ecosystem; emotions have no appreciable affect on the actual planet. The simple fact that we don't control our own population is going to eventually bite us in the global ass when it becomes a worldwide crisis and we start culling the herd to preserve the race and the planet we live on.
"I'm the Doctor. I'm a Time Lord. I'm from the planet Gallifrey in the Constellation of Kasterborous. I'm 903 years old and I'm the man who is gonna save your lives and all 6 billion people on the planet below. You got a problem with that?"
-The Doctor, Voyage of the Damned
It's just bullshit.
That's a hypothesis, not a theory. It's not even a scientific hypothesis, it doesn't provide a way as to how this could happen, it's just a nice thought he had.
If this guy was a real scientist he'd know that a) human emotions don't exist physically and b) humans have nothing to do with, and cannot affect the magnetic field of the Earth with their biology alone. Seeing pseudo-science like this makes me want to puke. The theory states that human emotions can affect the Earth’s magnetic field.
Depends which scientists you talk to. Some say the universe is 11 dimensional. Others say its the carved out armpit of a giant. Or what was left after a really big cow licked a glacier that was lying about before the universe began for some reason. The cow has refused to comment.

This just in: The Earth is just a chunk of nickle and iron with self replicating bits of carbon on its surface. There's nothing special about. It's not alive and it most certainly doesn't care about the feelings of those self replicating bits of carbon.
