Okay first off, ive done some searching and I cant find exactly what im looking for in the forums, all I come across is BiS items for a particular class,

What I would like to know is, what class set up is best (including monk) as were not doing it for a month or so,

With the stat and everything else changes since cata and now mop the fight is a lot more trivial than it used to be, any set up as said would be easily doable.

How many healers are needed?

Mana is capped right now though, wouldn't that cause problems?

Well running with a spriest anyways for soaking the black hole

Any set up is fine. We had one dps who was not ready, and was wearing a couple of greens, and 2 weapons, every other slot was empty.

I've done it before and after 5.0.4. Healers were fine in both scenarios. Before the patch they had a ton of mana, and could just spam without worrying about it. After, they have limited mana, but tanks take almost no damage, and heals are very strong.

Dps went up for all the classes we had. Plus the prot warrior was actually doing a ton too. Even effectively missing one dps, we only had 1 big bang.

edit: i think we 3 healed it. because raid damage was still crazy high. from dying stars and the other thing (can't remember the name, launches you in the air if you don't move off it)

Aye were on Hellfire Eu, Atm I have 7/10 interested in theory, and their all guildies, I'm afraid I have to give prio to the whole guild first though, but once I set a final date for them to sign on, if I have a spot give me a poke

Did it like 3 days ago, Setup was like this,
1x Dk tank
1x Palla tank
2x Mage dps
2x Hunter dps
1x sham healer
1x druid healer
1x warrior dps
1x priest healer

Took us 2 try's to kill it, mages were doing like 10k+ dps .. kinda lol

Its laughable now... i got it a few months ago, half the grp was in BOAs, most didnt have a single BIS. Killed him first shot before we saw a single black hole

LIES. Not possible. Before you saw a single black hole, huh? So you killed Algalon at 80 with hardly any BiS items before one collapsing star died? People all BiS can't do that.


& to the OP... it's not QUITE as easy as this guy claims. But comp doesn't matter too much;
As long as you have 3 decent healers, and your tanks don't take a poopton of damage, and people know the fight, it will die.

My mistake, we must have seen one, but we certainly didnt stack into the void for it.
That must have been it.

Had 4 dps pulling over 15k dps with the tanks and healers doing a good amount of damage too.

The damage you take from Black Hole must be so insignificant nowadays that i didnt notice it.

not at all. As a rogue i did about 12k. The 4 mages we had all did over 15k each.
Stacking mastery at lv 80 is just insane. That and the pots/feasts/flasks.

I have a Draenei Blood DK at 214 iLvL on a US server and have quite a bit of experience in Ulduar. My set is almost complete, though I could easily off tank as it stands. Please contact me if you are in need of a tank and I will provide my battle tag for cross realm raiding. I am also willing to run with a group that is not yet set up for the achievement to help them gear.
