I don't need the fastest most beefiest computer on the market- all I do is play around on wow occasionally, and browse the net and may check rift out again once I build this newer computer that handles it.
But anyways lets get back to the question. I look at the benchmarks typically comparing various processors and this and that. I know intel does exceptionally well for wow and I like them. However when I'm watching how much "FPS" most of these machines are getting it's pretty insane but past 30 FPS I've never really seen much of a difference?
How many FPS can the human eye really detect and how much is overkill? I don't need to run 120 FPS because well honestly things look as plain as day at 30-60 fps. Does it really matter if my computer runs wow at 150 fps when it doesn't look choppy and runs perfectly fine at 45 fps? I know it's a very complex question because the human eye I guess isn't measured IN fps, and it's more based on what we are actually watching before it starts to appeared blurred etc or what have you. If I can't see any difference between 45, and 150 fps - is there really a point in trying to achieve those goals?
Hopefully someone can help me make sense of it a bit more? Thanks a lot for any constructive posts!
