    $2000 budget gaming rig

    Hi everyone,

I would love to build a $2000 usd budget gaming rig. I am a computer "retard" and i don't know how to overclock and use water cooling system

    some info about myself :

*multimedia designer (often use 3D software, video / photo editing, rendering , adobe creative suite )
*heavy gamer ( Skyrim, BF3, WoW, Rift , Assassin Creed ) and etc. [hoping to get as fast, good quality as possible]

Like i mentioned earlier, i prefer not to o/c & watercool my rig as i don't know how to do so even with tutorial provided.

Things that i dont need for my rig:

    OS system ( Bought 64 bit Win 7 )
Monitors (3 Dell ultra sharp 23" display)
Mouse & Keyboard (Mamba + Black Widow)

Spec i`m looking at the moment [hopefully can fully utilize my 3 computers]

    i7 3770k
    GTX 680
    mobo - no idea tbh...
    16 gb ddr3 ram
    2tb 7200 rpm hdd
    120gb ssd for OS
    ??? power supply
    Haf X

Sorry for my bad english... not my first language .

Thank you for your help and advise

You wont even spend more then probably $1200 for those specs.

    PSU: $80

    Video Card: $400
*would be better to SLI Video cards and run 2 instead of buying a 680 you get more bang for your buck using 2 video cards*

    RAM: $95

Are you going to play on your triple screen setup or just use the 2 displays for something else and game on only one?

Last I heard AMD GPUs tend to be better for multi GPU setups unless you are going SLI with nVidia.

If English is not your first language, do you live in some other country? Because then prices may be higher than they are in the US, and the budget isn't fully translatable.

    i7-3770K
    H100
    ASUS Sabertooth Z77
    Fractal Design Arc
    16 GiB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance.
    3TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM
    128 GB Crucial m4
1-2x Gigabyte GTX 670 depending on your price-point in your country.
    Seasonic X750

Thank you for your concern. i`m living in Malaysia and i think the price wouldn't be much different but i can always add extra budget like few hundreds .

Nice spec but mind if i ask GTX 670 x 2 better than Gtx 680 x1?

and if i`m going for dual gtx 670 does seasonic x750w enough?

Also, last but dumb question, can i use these setup for a 3 screen setup for my game?

Two GTX 670 are indeed better than one GTX 680, and has a more interesting price/performance ratio and doesn't get as warm, which is a concern with dual graphics cards.

Yes, 750w is plenty enough. As would 650w be, for the record.

Yes, that was with that in mind that I picked those parts, and with the games you listed in mind. Also, I would recommend 2x8GiB RAM sticks rather than 4x4 if it is at all possible for you.

AMD for what reason? pricing/working capabilities?
Since i thought they were inferior to i5/7 k series atm due to performance and heavier OC potential.

price was the reason. I want 2 screens so I can watch vids an look up strats while I play. For now I mainly play Wow. Would really just like to know what Fps I can expect from this set up and what you would price it at? So I can compare to the local store.

You should start a separate thread and not hijack OP's.

Well prices from tweakers.net pricewatch show a price difference of only around 10 euro
AMD FX-8150 vs i5-2500k that is
lots of performance differance in favor of i5/2500k
